Best is subjective. Plenty of other Harleys that actually pushed innovation, tech and progress for the Motor Company. Obviously we're talking 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's lol. But in the grand scheme of things, plenty of other Harleys that will forever be known as game changers for Harley and the motorcycle industry as a whole. These new bikes will be forgotten as soon as the next update from Harley comes lol
I do mostly performance bagger content, so in that context, it’s definitely the best, as far as performance goes

Harley measures their tq/hp at the crank. Nearly all 117 stage 3 bikes are superior in numbers. Speaking solely on motor comparisons. @@eeepmeeep

First - if you get one of these, get rid of the CAT.
Second - that is built for the track to really get your money's worth.
Third - if you got a track close by you can race on, then it's definitely worth the investment. Like he said at the end, you get a lower price point weekend race motorcycle with a warranty.
Could you tour on it? Yes, but there are better options available.

Great footage. It looks impressive, no nose dive under braking and acceleration, and it looked like it pulled good in the upper rpm range. Too bad they did not release a scaled down version at a better price point. Don't seen enough value for the dollar at $43G.

Great vid!! Wish I could test ride one but I did test ride the 23 CVO Road Glide and tried to trade up from my 20 RGS but the numbers weren't there. Perhaps the timing is not right but who knows...

Harley needs to address the price point on the bikes. 34k for a black ultra is insane. I love Harleys but they are not justifying the price point with what you get. So many mechanical issues. Indian challenger is well under 10k less then the road glide. Like I said I love Harley and always had one and always will have one. But... I will not buy new as long as they continue to jack the prices.
If they can't sell them, they usually make adjustments. If they are getting the numbers they are asking, then it is what it is. Everyone's money situation is different.
Still enjoying my 2017 SGS. I spent more on it than the new motorcycles MSRP (most of us do). Seeing if I can ride it pass the 100K mark.

Its not factory. It is the screaming eagle package. Factory exhaust still sounds like a Honda. Your only get this with the CVO.
I think I would still go for the Onyx, pearl standard w black option. Then upgrade the stereo, suspension and aftermarket cam/tune.
Would be cool to have a mid controls option for aggressive riding or track.

I appreciate your first insights on the CVO ST and that you take the time to answer some of these comments. I was thinking of adding an ST to my bikes solely as a bike to do short sporty rides which is what I do most of the time. I have a RG limited setup for my wife and I to do multi day trips. Is there anyway I could outfit the RG CVO ST to be a part time 2 up all day riding type bike or is the tune, CAM, suspension just not compatible with that idea? What do you think?
You can but if you want to ride two up, I would get something different
While I am in no way a fan of change, I do like the colors and I like the new fuel door. I like that they moved the button to cycle the trips and the other information. That said… I don’t like the new fairings, and I definitely don’t like the pricing on the new bikes. I also don’t like the Motor Company completely priced the touring models almost out of reach of the new touring rider or those that like the basic, entry level bikes. Now… credit where it’s due… The marketing department are geniuses. To essentially use CZcamsrs/Influencers as their advertising at an exceptionally reasonable cost…. Is pure genius. Most CZcamsrs/influencers that I watch, for some reason, seem to favor power/performance/new gizmos and gadgets/racing over simplicity and comfort… and having you guys do the marketing on all your channels for them… is absolute genius. All it cost them was some hotel/travel/and food.

John, out of curiosity did you review the cylinder head temperature to see if the liquid cooled heads are making difference?
I wasn’t paying attention to the temps, but I could tell you I didn’t feel too much heat off of the engine

The ST is NON VVT
A CVO ST is a unnecessary poser. Should just be ST and "race ready" like the Indian Challenger KofB version.
Too bad the trade in value is just embarrassing for bikes only a year or two old with low mileage. Know this, Harleys DO NOT hold their value at all. We spend all this money for parts etc, and the depreciation is crazy. Don’t believe me, try to trade in your bike for a new one and see what they offer you. Even private sale you will lose your shorts!
