guys i‘ve got a question. Is it still possible at the age of 21 to start playing hockey? When I was 5-6 years old I wanted to play the game but unfortunately hockey here in germany is expensive. Now that I earn my own money etc. I can afford all the things I need. Due covid the rinks where closed for nearly 2 years and now I an getting back into it, but the fitness level etc is just not there😅 can anyone give me an advice/tips to work hard and get better everyday?🙌🏻
You can start at any age bro. It’s just that you’re probably lacking in relation to others, because they have the experience for years. Hockey is a sport for all the people so you can start at whatever level. My advice is to skate even if you’re not really training. So go skate when it’s open to public and work on the technique. Also, watching clips of guys to know where you need to skate to get pucks and stuff like that. You’ll rock it dude 💪🏻

I struggle with me cause I have better expectations of myself but for now it seems unreachable.. My problem is my body. I weight 113kg on 185cm(6 feet) and I suck at loosing weight.. I dont have a friend who is into hockey or skating as well.. Therefore my left foot always seems to slide away when I am skating, while my right foot is normal.. I have no idea what is wrong with me and to get a „coach“ here in germany is not possible.. As I said in the beginning, thank you for your words. Have a good one
@@snowcat96 Your foot issue may be related to weight placement, perhaps you place more weight on the right side of your body! And for weight loss usually a combo of weightlifting and cardio training does the trick, skating is an excellent form of cardio actually!
Remember to put the fun at the first place. It doesn’t matter how much you weigh or how fast you’re going. It’s important to enjoy every second you’re on the ice. If you do, that’s the biggest win of all

Just take some power skating lessons for a year or two, you can start at any age. You can do it! And hockey is all about having fun.
