Hi ultrasound tech here! We are not allowed to say much due to liability. A radiologist or MFM doctor has to actually diagnosis. Also thank you for having grace on the student! it is a very difficult skill to learn. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!

Congratulations Kayla! I’m so glad everything is going well for you. I’m so excited for you coming back home to FL. Get ready for the summer heat with a big ole belly… I’m not looking forward to it, I’m due in June so I’ll be huge at that point! I wish I could have kept my daughter rear facing longer but she just turned 3 and is is the 90 percentile so she was super uncomfortable poor thing. Thank you for sharing with us!!

My two year old daughter is pretty clingy, so I’m a little worried about that when my second daughter will be here next month. 😅 We also haven’t decided on names, but I’m 36 weeks along. Not much time left. I’m super excited for you guys, and pray everything goes well with the move!
Type “prenatal cardio” on CZcams and the one that is 25min is the one I do, it’s my favorite one I’ve found but probably because I love cardio more than anything. There’s prenatal yoga and Pilates too if you’d like those and just stretching that your can do ❤️
Anne of Green Gables is a wonderful book as well as the complete book series. The movies are also lovely.
My pregnancy craving was very mundane - cheese. Also, I feel you on the face acne. It's been so bad with both of my pregnancies which were both girls.
I'm a week behind you and my Anatomy scan is next week. Definitely can cause some anxiety and praying all is well with my baby. Also no weird cravings just coco pebbles and go gurt...kid foods 😊

I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant from Pembroke Pines, FL and I had to call about 30 offices and two of them were accepting new patients. The other ones were full. I found one that works with the hospital I want to use but it was a stressful journey to just find a doctor.
I’m sorry I hear that. I’m in Orlando FL I’m currently 27wks but at about 9wks my ob left the practice and I tried finding a different dr but no one in my area was taking new patients so I had no choice but to stay put in my same practice with different Dr. Thank goodness she’s been great so far.

I have two boys and they were both very different pregnancies. With my first, I broke out horribly. My second, I did not deal with that. I don't think symptoms have anything to do with the gender, but it's just my opinion since I had such different pregnancies. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy. I definitely wouldn't be able to wait on finding out the gender!

Just had my baby a week ago :3 ... And I have a two-year-old boy and a bonus kid who's 7. The 3-hour feedings and the 3-hour diaper changes are killing me. 😅😅😅 🙏🙏🙏 So happy not to be pregnant anymore though. Good luck Kayla!
Kayla I am with you on that! I’m 23 wks and also have the worst skin I’ve had as an adult and I too think I’m having a girl but not finding out till birth (my 3rd baby, already have one of each lol)

I live in PA and the ultrasound tech was able to say the different organs and things to make you informed . Maybe if it was like a medicial complication theyd have the doctor explain it to you

With my last pregnancy I could only stomach bagels and cream cheese for the better part of 5 months! Not sure this is a craving exactly 😂

You asked about cravings. With my first baby I was really sick and vomiting a lot., I used to drink ice cream mixed with lemon juice.all morning. Then when I had lunch I always wanted sardines in tomato sauce. I was put onto the drug Debendox for my sickness it worked really well but was taken off the market some years later. Funny cravings... with my first I NEEDED a corndog, but it had to be a deep fried one from the fairgrounds, not the frozen-from the grocery store kind, and it was April. I had to wait 4 months for that corn dog 😂 we didn't even look at any exhibits because it was too hot for my pregnant butt, so we parked, got my corn dog and left
I had the weirdest cravings after my pregnancies.......with the first one it was corned beef/sandwich meat with a side of eclairs, and with the 2nd one it was chicken burgers with a side of Chips /Ahoy cookies.....insane!!!!

I'm in Ontario Canada all our scheduled ultrasounds are done at the hospital. Can go get extra ultrasounds at cost at imaging center. Most times they don't say anything here either
I live in Ontario and I've only ever had to get an ultrasound at the hospital when I was overdue. For all 3 of my pregnancies I've gotten my ultrasound done at an imagining center at no cost.
Where can you get extra ultrasounds at cost? Do you need a requisition?

I have Kaiser and the ultrasound tech isn’t allowed to say much at all. The doctor/nurse practitioner then calls later (like a week later) to let you know the results. The worst part of the anatomy scan for me is having such a full bladder! I swore up and down I was going to pee my pants walking in!! 😂
My pregnancy craving was cheesy fries! SO unhealthy but it's all I wanted all the time 😂

I’ve never herd of acne as a possibility of having a a clue as to gender. I waited to find the sex too. I had a boy, and zero acne.
Even though we waited, I just knew in my soul I was having a boy. I kept having dreams that a little peepee was sticking out of my belly button 🤣

I had a student doing my anatomy scan with my daughter. It was completely miserable experience. I was sick and very cranky. I was in Switzerland at the time and they did a good job. They gave me the weight and length of my daughter. They saw I didn't understand metric system so they converted it for me. The veteran talked to me a lot. I had the Swiss version of a MFM physician (maternal fetal medicine physician) sitting next to the student. Giving me a play by play.
All of my ultrasounds and doctors appointments were done at the Woman Hospital. There was one huge waiting room with multiple doors. When you checked in you were told which door to sit close to.
I'm pregnant with twins and it's my first pregnancy and delivery in the US. I feel like a new mom all over again 😂😂😂.
I am not currently pregnant but I remember when I was pregnant with my son, I really wanted one single pickle slice. My hubby told me I would wake him up in the middle of the night and demand he go get me a single pickle slice. LOL but the thing was that if he would have done it, I know I would not have been able to eat it. I was so sick my whole pregnancy. Oh and Burger King, which he would get me, then I would be sick as soon as it got anywhere near me. LOL.
It may just be a Canadian thing but I don't think our ultrasound techs are legally allowed to tell you anything. So I don't let it stress me out until I see my midwife. I fell asleep during my 20 week ultrasound 😂
In Canada the technician can point out heart/leg/ arms but the doctor will go over and bad/good reading of the scan!
It's the same in the US. You have to have someone higher up give you the results. This will be by a radiologist or a MFM physician (maternal fetal medicine). So far only a MFM has been doing my ultrasounds. An MFM is similar to a doctor, but only in ultrasounds. They spend something like 15 years in school.
During an anatomy scan a MFM does the ultrasound.
It's also normal in Canada, at least where I am, to have all ultrasounds at an outside place. That's always been my experience anyways.
