I tried my Lomograflok for the first time this morning. Since Lomo decided to put a fluff piece of literature in the box instead of instructions I was looking for information on CZcams. The Lomo video was useless, went thru the steps of using a view camera but not operating the back. That was true of all videos I saw except for yours. I have never used an Instax camera but did get the back loaded and stuck batteries in - but then it would not eject the film dark slide. Thanks to you I found the dark slide lock on the Lomograflok must be to the dark slide release position to power the thing up. I made two exposures outside and found your exposure information right on, I went to save the highlights. BTW I have a Chamonix 045N-2 and find the Lomograflok is slightly loose as the Graflok locking tabs are smaller in thickness than the slot in the Lomograflok. Worked fine, I just lightly pressed the back towards the camera during exposure. Thanks again!
glad that the video helps! Agreed that the lomograflok is a bit loose on the Chamonix back. I found out the hard way when I carried the camera with the lomograflok attached on the tripod over my shoulders. It dropped off but luckily it survived the fall. The door did flipped open and i lost like 2 sheets but the rest were still usable. Do check out my other video on the 3d printed spacer i designed that help shooting a little bit less painful.
Just received my back today. First thing I did was search for a good review and how-to. Glad I found yours. It was everything I needed to see and hear.
I want to use flash / strobe with my 4x5 F2 yet wonder if you go to a video on setting exposure for flash... I too have the LomoGraflok. I used it last weekend yet realized too adjust focus and re-compose if you want to take both Instax and film for the same scene it takes too long so stayed with Instax.
Yeah indeed i was wondering can i 3dprint a small spacer that can help me move 19.4mm (the offset) the back rails to switch between film n instax without recomposing.
