I liked the #1 camper because of the solar power. You should do a video about the most boon dockable truck camper RV's. Which ones have the most battery life. Living in Texas I'd like to see a camper with enough solar on top to run a small a/c for the camper through the day plus fridge and enough lithium battery power to run the run the a/c through the night with no solar power. Also have it to where when your lithium batteries run low the generator kicks on automatically and recharges them. There are some new class B vans that have the lithium batteries and can run the a/c for a long time just off the batteries and then the engine has an extra alternator that kicks on when the batteries are low to recharge them .

Liked the last one best for sure. Bet it costs more than my house though. Was thinking more along the lines of a nice Quigley 4×4 van. Food for thought though. Thank you. Have been boondocking in a nice 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT premium. Restricted from going off road to much though.
The biggest problems w/slide-in's are the cost which are these. The hideously ridiculous price tag for no reason. The weight of them usually requiring at the least a 3/4 T or 1 T truck. The extremely lower fuel mpg is the 3rd. Convinces also can be compromised. Most people use a Toyota Tacoma or a 1/2 T truck. BTW, your #1 is not a truck bed camper. It is an RV
crown german camper nice;travel lite best I hve seen in these 2 top 10 camper videos real player; Tischer german luxury bed camper nice; Adventure XT seems truck& camper not bed camper still real deal.
10 looks spacious and smart, 9 even more. 5, looks nice and like all that's needes 3, looks compact and great, 1 is the one and ny favourite! Because it has all that's ever needed 👍🏻🏆
#5 Made for the Dully Truck style 11.5 Everest: you won't feel like you're in a Camper at all with this layout! #4 Imagine this will be a former Soldier's Dream Come True! #2 The most efficient use of space! #1 A woman's delight AND a Man's Happy Place !
One I would have suggested is the Wedgetail Camper, it's another designed for a flat bed, has both inside and outside kitchen, as well as a shower/ toilet cubicle inside. In Australia, the majority of "trucks" (we call them utes) are sold without the tub, and we just bolt custom trays onto the chassis, which is why most of our slide-on campers are designed for a flat bed or bare chassis instead of the factory tub.
Travel lite builds a good camper, especially for 1/2 Ton trucks! They have a really nice one for bigger trucks called Extended Stay models.NuCamp Also now builds a Camper for 1/2 Ton Trucks called the Cirrus 670,It’s really nice as well💯⚜️⚜️👍
If everything in life were free... sure, I'd agree, that IS a nice one. Very cool. However, (I didn't catch its price tag in the video) add its cost, to the (roughly guestimated) $60,000 for the truck shown, and consider that it appears to be permanently mounted, creating a vehicle that is more or less dedicated to "camping" and not much good for anything else... and I think you would get much more bang for your buck if you simply bought a nice, small to midsized RV/Motorhome. Just my opinion.
Real ReacherMED I’m doing well! Still so glad you are back with us after that break you took! I was afraid I’d never hear your sweet southern accent again!
He never said the name of #3. The name of the company is Patriot Campers from Australia. They're actually meant to be used for touring and hardcore 4wd'ing unlike the massive, top heavy alternatives. They cost an arm and a leg though.
Most likely credit was given on screen at the start of the segment if the name wasn't mentioned. We also link websites and credit in the video description. We've featured Patriot a dew times now and I agree with you there, they're heavy duty, no doubt.
I'd have to pick the Kimbo. If I remember correctly it offered the most versatile layout and options that I'd like. What would you think about doing a video on different types of hammocks? Another awesome video. Thanks to everyone involved in bringing it to CZcams.
also their license requirements are such that weight requires an upgraded license (smart IMHO), so they are weight concise. Also, I don't need an entertainment system in my camper, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the outdoors?
Live this review and agree with placement. Even though the adventure xt is a full setup and not a removable truck bed trailer it's my choice for number one.
Back in the early 1970s I owned company which made two sizes of slide-in cabover campers. I was located in Amarillo, Texas. The short one was 8' to fit the standard length pickup bed and one 18" longer. They were stick-built with aluminum exterior and wood paneling interiors. We had four basic floor plans or could build out the interior to suit the customer's wishes. We kept a few completed units ready for sale but at least 80% were built to customer specifications. The normal turn around from order to delivery on a custom camper was a week. In a stroke of sheer good luck, I sold the company just before the gas crunch hit and RV sales went down the toilet.
how about your thoughts on making leek proof doors that lift up on each side ? I`m building the camper top at my shop. the rear will be a lift up also but with glass. For a chevy 1/2 ton in order to protect my carpentry tools. Lee :)
suggestion, why not a program about making your own solar array, i don't mean assembling your own panel, i mean the mounting and finishing assembly, i have the panels now to assemble them.
The short bed trucks are the wrong platform for a camper. You need a minimum 6ft bed. These full sized four door trucks are for passengers and a 4ft bed is just a trunk
I feel you missed it with the exclusion of the Arctic Fox line by Northwood. The line has much larger fresh water/grey water/black water storage and the dual 30lb LPG that comes standard are among the largest offered...
Have you guys ever considered rounding up and comparing cold weather, winter friendly campers and RV units? Sometrhing that you don't have to worry about your water lines or staying warm when it's -10f as you head out for the morning hunt in Idaho?

THESE ARE ALOT NICER THEN THE ONES I REMEMBER FROM A FEW YEARS BACK LOL THESE SHOULD BE CHECKED OUT IF YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THESE!!!

Low 'Profile.'..LIGHT Weight .& some what 'Affordable'!!!.....Are 3 'Important' Features for My Needs!!
The Host Everest is nearly makes your truck a Class C motor home! I love it!
They are all awesome
Love that last one 😍 because it has everything even a mini washing machine .
Thank you Chandni and Mind's Eye Team for this wonderful video, I greatly enjoyed and appreciate it!
Our pleasure!
Truck campers have come a long way!! Its good to see!!
We agree!
Good list, a true four season camper for us cold weather folks would've been good. Think Northern Lite.
Good call!
NO Bigfoot or Norther Lite listed?? These are two of the best truck campers out there with the best design and lightest weight. Come'on Man!!!
We've included the Bigtoot and Norther Lite previously in other videos. We couldn't fit them all in one video that's for sure.
Chandni you are my favorite on here
Numbers 5 - 4 and 2 is better with roll-off.
Great vid, very informative. I’ve got a dually flatbed, hoping the flatbed camper works for me.
Wow great selections thank you and what a light rack smokin..
Kimbo was the best 👌
Hello Mrs. Onyango, thank you for watching!
Ya nice truck campers with nice expensive prices too, guess I will be sticking with the tent.
