- Since launch, I've noticed a lot of people trying to use the grapple in pretty simplistic ways - climbing up to rooftops to camp, jumping into windows, grabbing other pilots, et cetera.
Those are valid uses, but the grapple can do so much more.
I hope this video helps you find your faster playstyle.

I'm having tears of joy. This reminds me a great time of FPS (Fast Paced Shooter) like Quake with bunny hopping and rocket jumps.
The only similar feeling gave me Warframe and Bionic Commando (not competitive TPS, no offense Just Cause fans).

Ah! I didn't know about the meter! I always thought it would just not use a "charge" depending on how close you were to an object. That makes perfect sense now. That helps a ton!
Oh, and don't forget it hooks to pilots too! If you can hook someone, it's an autokill when you connect with them.
You can even go fishing if you also use wallhang to stay in a spot on the wall.
No one expects to be reeled up on Complex when jumping off a Titan.

Having used every tactical except a-wall, this is probably my favorite. And I don't think a-wall has the potential to change that.

Could you consider doing one on wall running? In practicing the hook tutorial you did I find I can't manage to stay on the walls like you can. I've watched other tutorials on it and they helped but still not able to acheive what you are and I'm wondering if there is some detail I'm missing, like looking above or below the horizontal on the grappling hook. That was new to me.
Hmm... what specifically are you having trouble with? Is there a particular trick in a video you're not able to do? Or do you feel like you're falling off too early, or not connecting to the wall consistently?
I feel like I'm falling off too early and sometimes, even though I'm pressing the A or D on the keyboard it's like I can't seem to latch onto the wall.
The "reset" I talk about in the video is exactly for those situations - for me as well, sometimes a wallrun just won't connect and you just slide against it, or it runs out too soon. As soon as you notice that happening, just shoot a quick grapple against the wall and it'll stick you right to it without losing speed.

I was a pathfinder main at apex legend so after i know and play this game as a grapple pilot,well its easy but the grapple feels a litlle wonky
So when you corner, do you cancel your grapple or does it end itself?

Honestly playing the game without a grapple feels way less fun. Like it feels as though something is missing from the game without it.

I never even touched the grapple dismissing it as meh. I mainly used the stim, but this looks waaay more versatile than the stim and almost does the same thing. My eyes have been fucking opened. O_O
I can't hate on stim, you'll have better survivability with it - with grapple, you're pretty vulnerable during any extended swings (like launches or slow corners) because you can't shoot and your arc is so predictable. In many scenarios, there's no corner to whip around and escape, where a stim user can just tap a button and GTFO.
However, I place a higher priority on having fun and feeling like spiderman than I do on my K/D. That obviously may make me a worse player, though.

I don't see it in the settings.
