There is strength in femininity. Snow White’s heart held kindness, purity, and gentleness. It was her kindness that made people bend over backwards for her. It’s why the huntsman couldn’t kill her because he saw those qualities within her first-hand. She was beautiful inside and out, and he just couldn’t do it. When he told her to run, she did. She was able to save herself for a while. The prince also saw those qualities in her spirit, and fell in love at first sight. She showed compassion to the dwarves and they let her stay in their home. Her weakness was her naïveté; she wants to see the good in everyone and so she takes the apple from the old woman. The dwarves couldn’t bury her because they didn’t have the heart to see her go. The prince kissed her because he loved her soul. So in a way, you can look at it as her kindness is what saved her in the end. Can you tell how much I adore this movie 😆 These Hollywood executives and actors view her story at such surface level, they couldn’t actually interpret what the story was really about. This is the only re-make that made me legitimately angry.

SnowWhite was *”that”* Disney princess for me growing up, I had always been very pale with bright red cheeks and rosy lips so I always felt like I resembled SnowWhite. She was able to save herself for a while. The prince also saw those qualities in her spirit, and fell in love at first sight. She showed compassion to the dwarves and they let her stay in their home. Her weakness was her naïveté; she wants to see the good in everyone and so she takes the apple from the old woman. The dwarves couldn’t bury her because they didn’t have the heart to see her go. The prince kissed her because he loved her soul. So in a way, you can look at it as her kindness is what saved her in the end. Can you tell how much I adore this movie 😆 These Hollywood executives and actors view her story at such surface level, they couldn’t actually interpret what the story was really about. This is the only re-make that made me legitimately angry.

This is why when people were getting annoyed with people for calling out Disneys poor choice of casting for The Little Mermaid, I simply rolled my eyes. They were saying things like "she's just a mythical character, mermaids aren't real anyway so it doesn't matter what color her skin is". I was like "mmhmm yeah sure, Disney is just testing the waters with this one, watch them make Snow White anything but white even though that's literally the whole point of her name. Let's see what excuse you come up with then."
I just don't understand how this same company that has proven they can make standalone movies like The Princess and the Frog and Encanto that features actual representation and diversity can't continue down that road and make more movies like that, instead they continue to fall back on race swapping already established IPs. SnowWhite was *”that”* Disney princess for me growing up, I had always been very pale with bright red cheeks and rosy lips so I always felt like I resembled SnowWhite. I had also loved the scenes which she has sung and has animals run into her arms. I am so disappointed that Disney has taken such a special memory for me and have turned it into a woke activism.

But why remake stories written by Europeans about European princesses using non-European actresses? Each continent and culture has wonderful stories and folklore that would make perfect Disney movies.
