During the making of our film 20,000 Days on Earth we asked Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to play an intimate club show at Koko in London, a beautiful old Victorian music hall. We wanted to do something special for the fans, so while we were filming the scenes with Nick and Kylie in Brighton he asked her if she'd like to come and sing their infamous duet. Kylie jumped at the chance, and a few weeks later walked out on stage and performed Where The Wild Roses Grow live with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for the first time in 15 years. What I love most about MTV in the 90s was that they played this on repeat amongst the Backstreet Bots and Britney and we’d sit around as 14 year olds, so open and curious, and go, “what the hell is this? It’s GREAT! I love it!”

What they had on stage the few times they performed this song live was deeply intimate & beautiful, like an old folk story. But it also reminded me of Johnny Cash & June, whenever they sang together, that same fire, the same magic from a love shared by music. ♥️

I wish she would explore this type of music more. Her dance-pop stuff is excellent, but I love when she pushes herself. She has one of the most versatile voices.

Seeing as his post was posted two years ago (which means 2015 at this point in time), I suppose he referred to the following: "Cave's son Arthur, 15, fell from a cliff at Ovingdean, near Brighton, England, and died from his injuries on 14 July 2015. Cave's family released a statement on the death, saying, "Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time."" That would make a lot of sense seeing the comment.

Best Kylie concert I ever saw was her Anti-Tour, B-sides and more obscure songs. No back up dancers or costume changes. She should tour like that more often! Also would love to see Nick write some more songs with her!
i liked that tour she did as it allowed her to just be a singer and put more emphasis on the music and her band. she should do more stuff like that every once in a while to break away from the monotony of big shows.

I know a little bit about music ,I mean I have an ear for it and I can definitely say that Kylie's voice is getting worse as she gets older ! I love this so much. I really wish I could have seen this live. Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue, two beautiful trees harmoniously producing the poetic oxygen I crave. So much positive energy in that room, must have been remarkable. *My new dirty little secret is that I watched this CZcams video 10 times and I don't feel guilty for doing it.* I LOVE Nick Cave Murder Ballads.
