  • Enhanced performance testing became easier thanks to the robust integration between BlazeMeter and JMeter. This 60-minute tutorial will have you going from basic script writing knowledge to writing complex login scripts with CSV support in under an hour. Start with key concepts and the foundations of script building in JMeter using foundational knowledge. End by mastering JMeter elements, specialty plugins, popular protocols support, troubleshooting, and best practices - resulting in an enhanced performance testing strategy you can be confident in.
    JMeter is a leading open-source tool loved by thousands of testers and developers. BlazeMeter contributes to the JMeter open-source community via JMeter plugins, fixes, and documentation - making them a perfect pairing for performance testing. BlazeMeter adds on to JMeter and allows users to enjoy additional benefits that add scalability, security, and enterprise capabilities when load testing in the cloud.
    By paring JMeter and BlazeMeter, you can run them every time you release a new version to identify bottlenecks, bugs, and errors. Ensure performance and functionality to keep your application from crashing or slowing down when your users need it.

    In the video towards the end you mention that the idea behind performance testing is to simulate enough load to create a bottleneck in the system that be monitored by a client side application like New Relic. In the example you gave the results were flat up to about 700 simulated users/threads, and then the results started to peak. You mentioned for instance finding a bottleneck with the database, tweaking some things, and then running the results again. My question is this. Lets assume the application I am testing would never reach 700 users, can it be assumed that the performance testing and tweaks to the database would still be beneficial and noticeable with a lower user/thread count?

      Fouziya: have a look at the "Target Controller" field in the HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder element. That's probably set to Recording Controller by default which means it will look for a Recording Controller in your test plan and use it. What you might not have done is to add a Recording Controller to a Thread Group in your test plan or to the Workbench (right-click, Add Logic Controller > Recording Controller). Give that a try. Have a look at JMeter Academy for more detailed tips: www.blazemeter.com/jmeter-tutorial

    not sure if you guys can help me out with my issue or can suggest if its even feasible to do it.
    I am recording my Http (s) from my mobile App--> it works like a charm in jmeter
    Now I have these third party requests which contain some params that I need to verify..but then again I have to add the assertions manually and run the test.. I some how need these assertion to be static( or some global assertions) and when ever I record a new session all the assertions are added automatically..? and I can run the script

    • @tejap463
      @tejap463 Před 9 lety

      vishal pathania I dont know if this helps but, try to put these assertions in a separate jmx file as assertions.jmx, once you recoreded your session right click on the thread group and click on Merge. select the assertions.jms and drag and drop it to the play where you want.

    • @tinumin
      @tinumin Před 9 lety

      Hi Mario. the issue you are telling is no way related to the recording. This is because of your internet speed. If your internet speed is slow then CZcams will downgrade the video quality to 360p or even 240p. Try again with some good internet speed. I hope you will not face this issue.
