Zeenat Aman is an original South Bombay girl. She was never involved in petty fights for role or money with either other actors/ actresses or producers/ directors. Her personal life, especially her marriages, were quite tragic, but she never spoke ill of any of her two husbands or in-laws. In 1998 summers, I read a news in Mid-Day paper, Mumbai, that Zeenat Aman was attacked and beaten in her house by her in-laws. After that, many actresses, including Dimple Kapadia, came to her support, and organized a press conference, which showed badly bruised face of Zeenat Aman. Dimple also claimed in the press conference that she was also subjected to domestic violence, and that no one has the right to hit a lady. That sight was sad indeed. After some years, Zeenat Aman came to Karan Johar's show, along with Hema Malini ji. She truly came across as an intelligent, witty and smart person. Good that she has finally found peace in her life now.

Zeenat appeared on the horizon when we were in our twenties. Because of her role in Hare Ram, Hare Krishna I used to call her the ESP girl! Someone who, if you come in contact with her, would take you emotionally to another world!
Through your video now, I learn that in 1988 she was quite lonely in the world. Didn't know then. Knowledge if it comes at all is always late, always post-facto!!!
Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that the beautiful faces that we see in our life are God's teasing signals to us about what we are missing in life and will continue to do so those divine morsels not being for us!!!

Zeenat is one of those very rare ladies whom I respect as an actress who learned to overcome the raw deal that life gave her. She never complained and bore her mental and physical tortures unleashed by fate but she overcame these painful experience in a manner that very few others have been able to do so. May be she wept and the pillow soaked her tears; may be she found solace in the company of the very private Zeenat ----- her inner self.
