If you will, allow me to take a moment and clarify my comparisons, especially Lady Gaga, given there have been so many comments to make mention of it. In no way did I mean that the band itself nor the song or its style sound anything like Lady Gaga. More importantly, I definitely did not mean it as a negative or an insult, in fact just the opposite. Having no prior experience with Lovebites up to this point, my mind and soul digested what I was consuming and formulated that into what I am most familiar with. With the guitars, I was hearing style and composition which reminded me of Matt and Corey of Trivium. What the bassist was doing, especially with some of the runs, I was feeling Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. The technical abilities as well as some of the fills and breakdowns gave me a Dream Theater vibe. What I was hearing with the vocals was elements of similarity between the two which to me was a positive complement! To say that Lady Gaga could step into this band and fill this vocalists shoes would be ridiculous. Thanks again for hanging out with us! Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song, “Judgement Day” on December 22. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They recently announced their new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Compared to most metal of today and yesterday, this is next level. You nailed it with the blender comment. Lovebites is unique as they blend influences and sub genres and make it their own. Most importantly is how talented every member is. I'm 62, been listening to metal for over 50 years, and I've never heard anything like them. They are my all-time favorite band.
Only for curiosity, Matt Heafy the vocalist of Trivium loves this band very much (around 3 years ago he played some Lovebites songs on stream). Lovebites is my favourite metal band last 5 years, their discography is amazing.

the woman being chased is also the lead vocalist asami. they don't have a whole lot of official mv's over the last 6 years as there are many more live videos from various live performances to check out. and that is the way to go because they are one of the best live bands you have ever seen perform. perfection may as well be their middle name - they will not tolerate errors and smash it every time
I wish they had played in my high school gym back in '89. For more Lovebites, try live versions of "Holy War" and "Set the World on Fire." That's a good start. I also recommend Nemophila: "Dissension" (original, NOT the US version) and "Oiran" (You Tube version). Finally, you need to hear Band-Maid. You can't start anywhere with them, but the typical gateway song is "Domination (Live)". Enjoy.

I had a little homer simpson "DOH!" moment out loud when you first mentioned "lady gaga". I thought for sure you would catch 11 different kind's of hell. But, after glancing through the comment's it's look like you're not doing too bad. I'm a Thrash head by history and preferrese . My favorite band's are Testament, Overkill and Exodus. THIS band is currently my favorite. Not a bad song have hey put out and don't expect they ever will. I have my favorites don't get me wrong but, all in all? they just are THAT good. Enjoy.
Gents, I’m at least the same age as you. 50 years of listening to music with electric guitars. I’m a fan of Ritchie Blackmore, Rush, Dio, Queensryche, who I consider the true giants in the category of music I like the most. I saw Maiden Paul DiAnno, Queensryche as a support act for Dio. So if I tell you that the best 5 musicians ever to grace a stage playing rock (let alone metal) were just gifted to you by whoever suggested them, I say it from a fairly knowledgeable standpoint. The album of the same name drops on Wednesday, but the band themselves are going to be in the chat on CZcams for a play thru of the whole album on Tuesday. From the accents I’ll take a stab at you being in the CST time zone, in which case it will be 05:00 (5am) because it’s 8pm Japanese time (11:00 GMT where I am). Do yourselves a favour and get to hear that album this week, because JD was the first of 3 pre-release tracks and the most recent, “Dissonance” is indescribable…you have to hear it to believe it. They are the best metal band in rock history, because they started out playing beautifully crafted and crazy metal to a high standard on their debut album, and 3 albums later they’ve perfected perfection each time, getting better and better each time. Approximately 50 tracks so far, 10 more this week and you will, hand on heart, never hear one that deviates from this level. And yet Live they are even better than studio. Really liked your analogy of them being the combo of the four artists you mentioned, actually a really good analogy as their definitely heavily influenced by Maiden, they do have some progressiveness to them (i.e., DT), certainly add thrash elements (certainly influenced by the Big 4), and Asami comes from an R&B background and has a BOOMING voice. You are scratching the surface to one of the best kept secrets in music who are finally starting to get the exposure they deserve. They are the best metal band to come around in years (IMHO) and I've been listening to metal for 35+ years. I've seen Maiden multiple times, Ozzy, Priest, Motorhead, Big 4, etc and while they are / were really good with their specific niche, LOVEBITES goes way beyond that...they can do it all. The duo talent of Midori and Miyako is mind-blowing, their harmonization skills are off the charts and at that speed. Fami, 20yr old bass phenom, just joined the band in Oct, this was her first MV w/the band and she nailed it. Hell, she has her own YT channel w/700k+ subs and has been dropping insane videos for a few years now. Haruna, is the 4' 9" drummer (little Big Engine, Thunder Goddess, Human Metronome); her pace is relentless and pound for pound she's as good as anyone (if not the best) in the genre. I first heard Lovebites on December 7th, 2022 and the song was Thunder Vengeance. It has been a joy ride since. I went to a Five Finger Death Punch, and I am a big fan of theirs, concert on December 13th and when they did their solos, they were no where close to these ladies. But Thunder Vengeance, Raise some Hell, Set the World on Fire, Holy War, M.O.D., Swan Song, and their other new one Dessinance. But you really can't go wrong with any song of their and I listen to about 5 or so every day since that day and have not began to tire out of their music.
And their lives are better. For example: "Set the World on fire" (Tokio 2021) or another sound like "Chopin etude+Swan song". The produced 60 songs in 5 years, always good. Thanks!
They don't have a huge back catalog of great songs. Only 40 or 50 odd. They are amazing live as well. Anything from the 2019, 2020 or 2021 Tokyo concerts will bring a smile to your faces.

Yes, while usually the 2020 versions have better quality than 2021 (due to pandemic reasons), Asami's belt on that was stunningly long (IMHO more than 12 seconds on key)...

By the way, Lovebites has over 50 songs, many of them have music videos and/or live performance videos, so if you liked it, you have Lovebites for a while. And before the end of this month a new album comes out. I recommend above all the live performances.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Japanese female metal 😂. There are several superb bands you should listen to ( but IMHO you've started with the best one ) . The thing I always find amazing is that the two guitarists didn't start playing guitar until they were in their VERY late teens ( 18 & 19 ) and the dark haired one - Miyako is self taught ( she's also a classically trained pianist ) Midori - the blonde guitarist is also from a keys background rather than guitar . The bassist ( Fami ) has only recently joined the band and this is the first track from their upcoming album that they've released with her playing . Asami ( vocalist ) is from an R&B background and the bundle of energy that is Haruna on drums is a 4'10" pocket rocket ! Musically these girls are as good as you'll find in the world today and you should listen to some of their past live performances to see their versatility and skill . A few other Japanese bands worth listening to are - Band Maid Nemophila Baby Metal Asterism Gacharic Spin and that's just for starters ! ENJOY

The dark haired guitarist is the main composer of the band, although they all writes songs, and she loves the romantic era classics. The first song you mention to a newly bitten reactor is "Dissonance"? Wow! It's a great song, but there are lots of "more typical" songs around. If you want to suggest a hard hitting song from that album, why not the closer "Soldier Stands Solitarily" right after "Dissonance"?

The female Japanese metal rabbit hole is deep (and insanely good). Lovebites are one of the very best (along with Nemophila, Hagane, Doll$Boxx, and Hanabie, imo), but there are SO many excellent bands doing a varied array of metal genres. Also worth checking out are Ark Royal, Bridear, Little Lilith, Aldious, Paradoxx, Full Moon, Mada Mitakoto No Nai Sekai ("Madaseka"), RagDollz, Lonesome Blue, Moth in Lilac, Pinkish Crown, Empress...and the list goes on. And there's the Hard Rock genre, where there are some real winners, too: Band-Maid, TRiDENT, Whisky Dust, Market Shop Store, and more. Then there's mixed gender Japanese metal bands like Unlucky Morpheus (one of the best technical symphonic metal bands on the planet), Saiseiga, Mardelas, The SheGlapes...like I said, a deep, deep rabbit hole.
It may be the first time Lady-GAGA's name has come out of a LOVEBITES reactor. (I laughed affirmatively) It cannot be said that Lady-GAGA's musicality is unrelated to Japan. At a time when she was young and unknown, her sound and performances were so unique that they were largely unheard of in (conservative?) America. However, a Japanese music person who happened to see her demonstration video introduced her to the Japanese media. This was the trigger for Lady-GAGA's unique musicality and performance to be greatly appreciated in Japan. This made her name known all over the world. (She is famous for being a Japanophile. I think this experience is a big reason for that.) In this way, the Japanese music world has a tolerant foundation for unique music and performances without being bound by stereotypes. This may be the reason why bands with unique styles such as LOVEBITES, BAND-MAID, BABYMETAL, Wagakki Band, Unlucky Morpheus, etc. are appearing one after another from this country. You might want to check out (all live) "A Frozen Serenade" or "Empty Daydream" for about as Lady Gaga-ish as Lovebites gets. "Swan Song" with the Chopin intro is pretty impressive too.

If you want to react to more of Lovebites songs. I recommend you mostly focus on using live videos from "Zepp Divercity" Concert, also known as "Five of a kind" tour. 2021 concert is same quality as well. The concert mixing was done by Finnvox Studios, so the sound quality is more or less the same as studio. Most fans prefer live over music videos. This was a good reaction, because there is no live photage from Judgment day yet, because it is so new.

I've been following LOVEBITES for a few years now and absolutely love them. Their talent is so great that it doesn't matter that they're beautiful women; if they were ugly cave trolls, I'd still rock out to them because the music is so good at the individual level and at the group level. Normally I would recommend another LOVEBITES song or a song from another Japanese rock or metal band, I was thinking "Unending Sorceress" by the great Unlucky Morpheus because it's a fantastic song and is about Final Fantasy VIII, but the more I thought about you guys being heavily into D&D, the more my brain started to go into another direction. I guess by mentioning that song I did suggest it, but another group that's from Europe that I think you'd be interested in would be Heilung. There are only three official members, they call themselves "amplified history from early medieval northern Europe," and they're intense and mesmerizing. I often think about D&D druids and barbarians multiclassing into bards when I see them. As for a song, I suggest either the music video for "Anoana" or the live video for "Krigsgaldr." If you're interested, don't do any research, please. Go into them as blind as possible. You will _not_ regret it.

For me the best female metalband on earth. And Metallica stopped playing metal after their third album, Trivium is a great band by the way. Try some of their live stuff, try "Swan Song with the Chopin intro live " or "Holy War" both great songs.
It's quite easy to draw a line between the two: Lady Gaga got her name from Queens hit "Radio Gaga", so she's definitely influenced by Queen. On the other hand, Miyako mentioned Brian May, who played this song, as her #2 guitarist in her Top 5, and that her mother listened to Queen all the time. There you have the common influences! ;-)

The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
@@flugelhornoldman1362 Yeah, that's correct, it was 1988/89. I've seen a remarkable video last night, which featured just the late drummer (by his brother), this was dated May 28th, 1989. I was aware of this fact, so sorry in part. On the other hand, Halloween was a major influence on LOVEBITES, they've covered "Eagle Fly Free" multiple times, and Haruna is a known massive fan of them (and probably Ingo Schwichtenberg).

If you will, allow me to take a moment and clarify my comparisons, especially Lady Gaga, given there have been so many comments to make mention of it. In no way did I mean that the band itself nor the song or its style sound anything like Lady Gaga. More importantly, I definitely did not mean it as a negative or an insult, in fact just the opposite. Having no prior experience with Lovebites up to this point, my mind and soul digested what I was consuming and formulated that into what I am most familiar with. With the guitars, I was hearing style and composition which reminded me of Matt and Corey of Trivium. What the bassist was doing, especially with some of the runs, I was feeling Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. The technical abilities as well as some of the fills and breakdowns gave me a Dream Theater vibe. What I was hearing with the vocals was elements of similarity between the two which to me was a positive complement! To say that Lady Gaga could step into this band and fill this vocalists shoes would be ridiculous. Thanks again for hanging out with us! Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song, “Judgement Day” on December 22. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They recently announced their new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” czcams.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/video.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

I had a little homer simpson "DOH!" moment out loud when you first mentioned "lady gaga". I thought for sure you would catch 11 different kind's of hell. But, after glancing through the comment's it's look like you're not doing too bad. I'm a Thrash head by history and preferrese . My favorite band's are Testament, Overkill and Exodus. Gents, I’m at least the same age as you. 50 years of listening to music with electric guitars. I’m a fan of Ritchie Blackmore, Rush, Dio, Queensryche, who I consider the true giants in the category of music I like the most. I saw Maiden Paul DiAnno, Queensryche as a support act for Dio.
So if I tell you that the best 5 musicians ever to grace a stage playing rock (let alone metal) were just gifted to you by whoever suggested them, I say it from a fairly knowledgeable standpoint. The album of the same name drops on Wednesday, but the band themselves are going to be in the chat on CZcams for a play thru of the whole album on Tuesday. From the accents I’ll take a stab at you being in the CST time zone, in which case it will be 05:00 (5am) because it’s 8pm Japanese time (11:00 GMT where I am).
Do yourselves a favour and get to hear that album this week, because JD was the first of 3 pre-release tracks and the most recent, “Dissonance” is indescribable…you have to hear it to believe it.
They are the best metal band in rock history, because they started out playing beautifully crafted and crazy metal to a high standard on their debut album, and 3 albums later they’ve perfected perfection each time, getting better and better each time.
Approximately 50 tracks so far, 10 more this week and you will, hand on heart, never hear one that deviates from this level. And yet Live they are even better than studio. Really liked your analogy of them being the combo of the four artists you mentioned, actually a really good analogy as their definitely heavily influenced by Maiden, they do have some progressiveness to them (i.e., DT), certainly add thrash elements (certainly influenced by the Big 4), and Asami comes from an R&B background and has a BOOMING voice. You are scratching the surface to one of the best kept secrets in music who are finally starting to get the exposure they deserve. They are the best metal band to come around in years (IMHO) and I've been listening to metal for 35+ years. I've seen Maiden multiple times, Ozzy, Priest, Motorhead, Big 4, etc and while they are / were really good with their specific niche, LOVEBITES goes way beyond that...they can do it all. The duo talent of Midori and Miyako is mind-blowing, their harmonization skills are off the charts and at that speed. Fami, 20yr old bass phenom, just joined the band in Oct, this was her first MV w/the band and she nailed it. Hell, she has her own YT channel w/700k+ subs and has been dropping insane videos for a few years now. Haruna, is the 4' 9" drummer (little Big Engine, Thunder Goddess, Human Metronome); her pace is relentless and pound for pound she's as good as anyone (if not the best) in the genre. I first heard Lovebites on December 7th, 2022 and the song was Thunder Vengeance. It has been a joy ride since. I went to a Five Finger Death Punch, and I am a big fan of theirs, concert on December 13th and when they did their solos, they were no where close to these ladies. But Thunder Vengeance, Raise some Hell, Set the World on Fire, Holy War, M.O.D., Swan Song, and their other new one Dessinance. But you really can't go wrong with any song of their and I listen to about 5 or so every day since that day and have not began to tire out of their music.

And their lives are better. For example: "Set the World on fire" (Tokio 2021) or another sound like "Chopin etude+Swan song". The produced 60 songs in 5 years, always good. Thanks!

They don't have a huge back catalog of great songs. Only 40 or 50 odd. They are amazing live as well. Anything from the 2019, 2020 or 2021 Tokyo concerts will bring a smile to your faces.
Remember, they already released two songs this year, and going to release a full album in a week, and going to throw concerts in a month.

Yes, while usually the 2020 versions have better quality than 2021 (due to pandemic reasons), Asami's belt on that was stunningly long (IMHO more than 12 seconds on key)...

Hahaha, Lady Gaga, ok, I'll take it. If you keep listening to more songs, maybe you can add Testament, Slayer, Stratovarius and Dragonforce to the catalog of combinations. By the way, Lovebites has over 50 songs, many of them have music videos and/or live performance videos, so if you liked it, you have Lovebites for a while. And before the end of this month a new album comes out. I recommend above all the live performances.

There are several superb bands you should listen to ( but IMHO you've started with the best one ) . The thing I always find amazing is that the two guitarists didn't start playing guitar until they were in their VERY late teens ( 18 & 19 ) and the dark haired one - Miyako is self taught ( she's also a classically trained pianist ) Midori - the blonde guitarist is also from a keys background rather than guitar . The bassist ( Fami ) has only recently joined the band and this is the first track from their upcoming album that they've released with her playing . Asami ( vocalist ) is from an R&B background and the bundle of energy that is Haruna on drums is a 4'10" pocket rocket !
Musically these girls are as good as you'll find in the world today and you should listen to some of their past live performances to see their versatility and skill .

Great reaction. You still need a couple of more elements in you blender, Rachmaninov, Chopin, and Beethoven. I'm not kidding they got influences from the composers from classic romantic era music. The dark haired guitarist is the main composer of the band, although they all writes songs, and she loves the romantic era classics. The female Japanese metal rabbit hole is deep (and insanely good). Lovebites are one of the very best (along with Nemophila, Hagane, Doll$Boxx, and Hanabie, imo), but there are SO many excellent bands doing a varied array of metal genres. Also worth checking out are Ark Royal, Bridear, Little Lilith, Aldious, Paradoxx, Full Moon, Mada Mitakoto No Nai Sekai ("Madaseka"), RagDollz, Lonesome Blue, Moth in Lilac, Pinkish Crown, Empress...and the list goes on. And there's the Hard Rock genre, where there are some real winners, too: Band-Maid, TRiDENT, Whisky Dust, Market Shop Store, and more.
Then there's mixed gender Japanese metal bands like Unlucky Morpheus (one of the best technical symphonic metal bands on the planet), Saiseiga, Mardelas, The SheGlapes...like I said, a deep, deep rabbit hole.
How could you forget „Asterism“?
It may be the first time Lady-GAGA's name has come out of a LOVEBITES reactor. (I laughed affirmatively)
It cannot be said that Lady-GAGA's musicality is unrelated to Japan. At a time when she was young and unknown, her sound and performances were so unique that they were largely unheard of in (conservative?) America.
However, a Japanese music person who happened to see her demonstration video introduced her to the Japanese media. This was the trigger for Lady-GAGA's unique musicality and performance to be greatly appreciated in Japan. This made her name known all over the world. (She is famous for being a Japanophile. I think this experience is a big reason for that.)
In this way, the Japanese music world has a tolerant foundation for unique music and performances without being bound by stereotypes. This may be the reason why bands with unique styles such as LOVEBITES, BAND-MAID, BABYMETAL, Wagakki Band, Unlucky Morpheus, etc. are appearing one after another from this country. (Of course, I don't mean to look negatively at the Western rock scene.)

Did I just hear Lovebites being compared to Lady Gaga??? Yeah, I went back and listened again and that's what I heard.
You might want to check out (all live) "A Frozen Serenade" or "Empty Daydream" for about as Lady Gaga-ish as Lovebites gets. "Swan Song" with the Chopin intro is pretty impressive too.

If you want to react to more of Lovebites songs. I recommend you mostly focus on using live videos from "Zepp Divercity" Concert, also known as "Five of a kind" tour. 2021 concert is same quality as well. The concert mixing was done by Finnvox Studios, so the sound quality is more or less the same as studio. Most fans prefer live over music videos. This was a good reaction, because there is no live photage from Judgment day yet, because it is so new.

I've been following LOVEBITES for a few years now and absolutely love them. Their talent is so great that it doesn't matter that they're beautiful women; if they were ugly cave trolls, I'd still rock out to them because the music is so good at the individual level and at the group level.
Normally I would recommend another LOVEBITES song or a song from another Japanese rock or metal band, I was thinking "Unending Sorceress" by the great Unlucky Morpheus because it's a fantastic song and is about Final Fantasy VIII, but the more I thought about you guys being heavily into D&D, the more my brain started to go into another direction. I guess by mentioning that song I did suggest it, but another group that's from Europe that I think you'd be interested in would be Heilung. There are only three official members, they call themselves "amplified history from early medieval northern Europe," and they're intense and mesmerizing. I often think about D&D druids and barbarians multiclassing into bards when I see them. As for a song, I suggest either the music video for "Anoana" or the live video for "Krigsgaldr." If you're interested, don't do any research, please. Go into them as blind as possible. You will _not_ regret it.

It's quite easy to draw a line between the two: Lady Gaga got her name from Queens hit "Radio Gaga", so she's definitely influenced by Queen.
On the other hand, Miyako mentioned Brian May, who played this song, as her #2 guitarist in her Top 5, and that her mother listened to Queen all the time.

The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. @@flugelhornoldman1362 Yeah, that's correct, it was 1988/89. I've seen a remarkable video last night, which featured just the late drummer (by his brother), this was dated May 28th, 1989.
I was aware of this fact, so sorry in part. On the other hand, Halloween was a major influence on LOVEBITES, they've covered "Eagle Fly Free" multiple times, and Haruna is a known massive fan of them (and probably Ingo Schwichtenberg).
