my concern is will it lift in the back and/or will make the entire unit slide off when put up into a ponytail. braids can be so heavy and with tension.

Hi i buy one and the bleacheding is needed
The only thing I'd recommend the company change with this wig is add baby hair to the back so it can be worn in a high pony! It would look weird to wear it as is in a high ponytail and the back have no baby hairs to make it look 100% looks your own hair. Other than that, it's a beautiful unit and looks like you did boho braids on your own hair!
