my note: - 7:51: if you don't have a shop page, simply go to commerce > add a product and a shop page will be created by default - 19:51: keyboard short cut: G button to see the brackets - 24:21: linking images to shop categories (I guess categories are made when creating a product and assigning it to a category) - 31:15: termly: website that helps you build content for page such as terms and condition - 34:55: how to hide a link from the nav menu - 35:31: disable/enable a page - 40:34: changing favicon: home > browser icon - 42:56: issues making it mobile responsive: alignments affect desktop version. However, it doesn't when dragging blocks - 43:59: for now, square space still using third party POS - 46:12: plan needed for an eccomerce: at least the business plan - 47:55: if you have a existing domain from somewhere else (name cheap, siteground, etc.)
Warning - I just learned you can't switch templates without starting over in version 7.1 and higher. I wish they would have made that clearer when initially selecting these options. My only option is to start a new trial site and essentially move my subscription and domain to the new trial site. This seems absurd to me.
Great video, it helped a lot. One thing to add is that now on Squarespace version 7.1 the design of the desktop view and mobile view are now linked and are not independent from each other. Big bummer!

since I just completed these tasks in the last few weeks. What worked for us was going to an Attorney to get the LLC. She then connected me to a link to get the EIN which allowed me to get the bank account and set up my Etsy. Still need to figure out actually HOW to set up the store part on my website which I am hoping that this video will help with. Good Luck

Good tutorial. What I didn't find, however, is the option to create variants of a product in a meaningful way. Namely as a product with a dropdown menu of the different variants. I can create colour variants as a product with dropdown, but there is the problem that if I have selected "red", for example, the matching image with "red" is not shown. So I have uploaded three photos, each with the product in red, yellow and green, and also specified red, yellow and green as product variants in the dropdown. If I then later select a colour in the dropdown, I cannot link this in the backend so that the selected colour is also displayed in the photos. What I have also not found is the possibility to combine different equipment variants in the dropdown. E.g. "red bike - standard edition" or "red bike - plus lighting". So I have one product in four different colours, each with three different equipment variants. I don't want to have to create 12 individual products. Do I have to do anything to the code? Is there a tutorial for this somewhere?
Awesome this looks like it would be far easier to build my site versus shopify. I just filed for my LLC today. Now I am just waiting for the government....sigh.

I started from the beginning three times and I'm still seeing the same thing! Grrrrr!
yeahhhh, that's an old version, you prolly seeing the new version, which is 7.1, not too hard to navigate tho. Stay calm and find a way around it, it's almost the same. Just an upgrade.
@@MeticsMedia What I mean by weak is that there is no video clip like this that is full of information. Most of what I find is two-minute debates. In short, you can determine which videos are the most valuable to Arab viewers, and from my experience they want valuable information and clips that explain things in detail, like this clip. Not a review in two minutes! I hope this helps you

The dubbing is wonderful and the video image is attractive, but what I wanted you to do was publish more of these long videos since no one explains these things in the Arab world, such as explaining the design of a store on Wix or its design on Squarespace. ....etc@@MeticsMedia

went through the same thing and lost $39 when I camceled my sub......SS does not give refunds... Im here hoping to not make the same mistake twice.

Oh and I also had a friend that set her LLC up with Legal Zoom. I have done that before, but had some other needs this time around. Hope this helps.
