    so why did you remove center console and bottom storage just to remove the stereo? I was able to remove stereo with out the need of removing all of that, just simply removing top part with clock, A/C vent and removing the 4 10mm screws... i feel removing the rest is not necessary.

    Thank You. Exactly what I need to remove the radio. Along with your other video on the wiring diagram. Will be adding a line out convertor to a 2014 Camry. In order to install a aftermarket amplifier and subwoofer.

    it cut my removal time by at least half.
    and, yes, it is necessary to remove the center console and gear shift cover in order to not break things, for a clean removal.

    How do you get the upgraded panel? I'm trying to find one for a 2014 Toyota Camry and I believe it just has the basic set up. It would be a gift for my boyfriend and when I asked him about it a few months ago he said he needed to add some kind of SIM card or something like that he wasn't sure. Can you help me?

    Thanks for the tutorial. I have a different issue though. There seems to be a squeeky wheel or gear in that particular area. Have you heard it or of it? I was thinking of tackling the situation myself.

    I took out the stereo out of my 2012 Toyota Camry LE edition and tried replacing the digitizer, however I have the wrong part. After putting the stereo back in and turning on the power, I smelt burning then turned it off immediately. The screen does not light up anymore. After removing the stereo again, I got to the screen again only to find one of the large ribbon cables burnt/ripped (it’s burnt down the middle). Is it safe to drive the car with everything connected back until I get new parts? I’m worried about the electricity in the car

    We exchanged mine and this was helpful thank you. However, when we reattach the 4 bolts the radio shuts off and the ac controls do not work and the air bag light comes on. Any suggestions? I assume its a ground or wire issue.

    it is absolutely not necessary to remove the center console! and don't pry the air vents out first there are better videos one and a half minutes long. you start with the panel on top, then push the air duct out from behind, take the two little panels off down at the bottom and you're done everything is ready to unbolt takes less than three or four minutes to take those parts off to get to the radio I just did my car, this video is completely wrong

    • @connectedcaraudio
      @connectedcaraudio  Před 7 lety

      +dan montgomery it depends on the year you can research your year vehicle or call the dealership to see. But most modern cars will need to be program to that vehicle from the dealership. Some gm factory stereos can be bypassed but you can do a h check online for that

      Gloria Montiel YESSS! Mine has been like that for 2 weeks now. I heard it’s either the factory amp is messing up or the wiring in the trunk or maybe the speakers within the doors. But it’s annoying driving in silence I feel like I’m gonna go crazy 😭

      Not if you need to smog your vehicle!! Takes forever for Toy sensors to reset :) Actually since every connection is a closed plug connection there is really no need. If you see any open wires... yes :)
