Let me tell you something Egan was as hard as 9 inch nails. When he grew up as a Teen was already working the doors! he was weighing in fully grown men for fun on a Friday n Saturday 🤣🤣. Let me tell you though Joe was and still is as humble as they come. And he's still a brute of a guy too! The Egan lads are all stand up guys way down to Tommy. Joe can be proude of what he's achieved
Joe is an absolute stand up guy. Have nothing but love and respect for him and his family. Happenend to have also met his nephew a few times and he's a real guy too. Nothing but humility and respect from the whole family. Long live the Egan name!
I know Bob Wells very well. I'm good mates with his son. Lovely man and a gentle giant in everyday life. He went on to win an Olympic Bronze in Los Angeles 1984 It was the first time they introduced Super Heavyweights to the Olympics.

It takes a lot of balls to start jabbing like Eagan did from the get go, committing fully to heavy jabs despite having a long big opponent whose speed you don't know yet.
@dirtballjohnny its an international with 2 club standard boxers,truely woeful standard of fundamental skills.Being able to take a punch doesnt make you a good boxer,there are knackers all over ireland that can do that but cant box at all.

I fought light heavyweight as a young amateur and took some big heavy shots. Definitely felt them the next day or two afterwards
