  • These waders are great for active anglers that may be hiking, moving, rowing boats, or need a "waist high" solution for waders. They are ultra breathable and eliminate sweat and humidity thanks to a highly breathable material.

    Yes! No more trash stuck on the neoprene of the gravel guard. I spent too much money on Simms and now can't wait until I receive my RS wders from these guys!

    I am 5'-10", 175 lbs and got the medium and is a little snug but can move and bend with no problem. I think i am happy with the medium.

      Ok same size, I'm wearing leggings under my Medium and love this fit. I hear ya on moving, snug getting on but once on there isn't a bunch of baggy material. I'm still going strong on mine ZERO leaks. I have the size L to our head guide shortly after this video and they've been bulletproof for him.

    Thanks for the review. How about the large short? Do you think that would have fitted better on you than the medium or the large you've got on in the video? I'm only asking because your height/weight is the same as mine and I'm about the send the medium back for a return as it's a little too tight on me as well.

      Paul, I would try these on with a tight-fitting base layer. I am loving the medium, but I wear a true "base layer" without baggy pants. I wouldn't like a LS. These waders when worn with a tight fitting base breathe amazing and it's like wearing gore-tex pants rather than stuffy waders.

    Thanks Joe, I know the company makes a pant but wished they made a wader pant........Do you have any recommendations for a wader pant?

      32" - I'm right in between the M and the L, it's a bit on the long side for me but a better fit overall.

    Still your go to waders?

    • @redsflyshop
      @redsflyshop  Před 5 měsíci

      I think for anglers doing lots of walking, cold mornings/cold water these are the best. If I had to limit myself to (1) set of waders it would be the BackEddy.

    What’s their warranty and customer service like?

    • @redsflyshop
      @redsflyshop  Před rokem +1

      Service is going to be outstanding, small company and all repairs are in Bozeman, MT. They will only allow a max of 50 dealers in order to maintain strong customer relations. They have a loose "warranty" and stand behind their product. They will replace or repair any defects, and if you are unhappy within 30 days of purchase... return it. Knowing the owner/operator, you're in good hands.

      Oh there is one thing I don't mess with and that is marginal waders haha. Very few things can get me down, but if I am going to fish long days.... I have to stay dry. 😀

    Is Skwala a new company or an old company rebranded?

    • @redsflyshop
      @redsflyshop  Před rokem +1

      New. The crew there has a history in other top end brands in the hunting, fishing, and mountaineering space. Spun off to something more fly focused.

    You are never doing any reviews. Everything is always positive = marketing. Not trustworthy at all.

      Well ok sure. You have a point. I share what gear I use and why. I've done the research, taken it to the water, and here are my thoughts. That's a review. I'm not wasting my time using a bunch of gear that didn't interest me to begin with. That's a giant waste of time.

      I don't know anybody else who tests the amount of good gear that Joe does, I'm sure he is a busy guy and doesn't have time to waste on telling us what gear is "bad". From what I see, Red's sells only gear that they like and fish and can stand behind, thus those are the reviews we see, the good stuff. In a way you are right though, it is a genius way of marketing, a pro guide that tells us what gear is good, gear that he has tested probably more than most of us will ever test to that extent. After all, Red's needs to sell gear to stay in business, a business I really want to thrive so I can stop by the fly shop on my next trip to the Yakima Canyon!

      @@nathansaunders8902 hahaha well put. We're an independent shop, if we "bought it" and put it in our store then we've already filtered out the garbage. If you look at our site we don't carry everything from our vendors. We choose products at Red's to stock that have already made the cut and I personally want to get out and play with.

      @@redsflyshop my buddy guides and told me "you got to get Skwala waders" he is on his 3 year using the SKWALA RS WADER. I am leaning towards the skwala carbon wader. I think they might just be light enoughto throw into my backpack. dependability is the very important. Do have any suggestions pro/con. Also I was very interested in the Korkers dark horse. It looks like your in them, any thoughts? thank you for taking time to help us
