  • During the 1970's these amazing colour films provided a break in between the test card and the television trade information. It provided a chance to view some of the best freely available colour films then available. This mixed range of footage was often 'sponsored' as an indirect form of advertising, but these informative, usually beautifully shot colour movie features were indeed classics in their own right.
Enjoy this nostalgic bus-ride courtesy of British Transport Films and the BBC's now iconic, early colour, Television Trade Test Transmissions.

More secure then and better order kept I think. The old Trolly Buses were the best and very clean and efficient. They got rid of them in the name of 'Progress'! Thanks Geoff xx

Buses today are a right shambles, most of the buses shouldn’t be on the road, as unfit machanicly, many drivers are scruffy, along with the buses they drive, also they provided a service, not for the passengers, but for themselves, by pulling over to regulate the service. I could mention Thatcher here, as she had something to do with breaking up monopolies, and encouraging competition.

Unfortunately this was the beginning of the rot .......with planners knowing they will not have to live in their developments when completed, but go to their cottage in the country
