lol. I hate those muzzle devices when you're shooting next to people. I remove them for any range shooting. It's actually very dangerous. If a person can be hit by the pressure, then they can be hit by shrapnel (and can have their ears immediately and permanently blown out if an ear plug falls out... and it can also knock out a person's ear plugs). I'm not against flash-hiders, comps and other similar devices. They have their uses. I just don't like seeing them on the range for this reason. They work so hard to be safe on ranges and then we got people blasting people with their muzzle devices. (Sorry for the rant. Got lead spray in my eyes one time and it wasn't anything like just getting dust or sand in your eye. It's worse than getting leaded from someone shooting an out of time revolver with an excessive gap).

Can somebody tell me how i can get a legal switch? What certification do i need??
There's 2 ways. The "easy" way is to find yourself a machine gun made and registered in the US prior to 1986. This would make it a transferable machine gun, which are fully legal for anyone who can own guns. But the cheapest transferable MGs are like $15k. Bad news is, the Glock 18 (the one that comes with a giggle switch) was released in 1986, so there's no transferable examples.
The other option is to get your FFL licence, perhaps with SOT. However, to hold a valid FFL you actually need to have a firearms related business that goes along with it. But once you have an FFL with an SOT, you can import and even manufacture automatic weapons.

Someone there has to hold an FFL and is letting people use their businesses Glock 18. Once you get licenced as a gun dealer, you are allowed to own all sorts of fun stuff.
@@theKashConnoisseur so it requires a FFL license and a Glock 18? Specifically in more detail is what I was looking for thanks! Like which special stamp ect. Once you receive the FFL from the ATF.
@@youngkemo The Glock 18 is the one that cones from factory with a switch, but if you have an SOT along with an FFL you could add a switch to a 17 or whatever. Since the SOT allows you to manufacture machine guns, all good.
Essentially, if you have an FFL (which requires you to show intent to run a firearms based business, at minimum), you can have machine guns like auto glocks with switches if you can claim that you're making them available for sale to police and other government agencies. To import or create new machine guns, you need the proper SOT which is basically the special tax stamp ($500-$1000 annual fee depending on SOT classificaton). But to buy dealer sample post-86 machine guns that are already in the country, all you'd need is the FFL and some claim to have the guns for sale to law enforcement (even if they aren't looking to buy any lol).
Look into home-based FFLs, probably the easiest way to get into it.

I'd like to have a select-fire switch or binary trigger on any one of my weapons just to test the waters at local ranges. Not for nefarious reasons, just to know which owners are cool about it or not. It's rarely ever enforced on the rules list unless, of course, you live in an area with one of those dumbass 1-round-per-3-seconds policies.

P80 Glocks are made from unfinished polymer frames that the user finishes and assembles from home. Hence why they occasionally don't run like factory Glocks.
I would never carry that many guns. If something crazy we’re to happen, anything at all, you could have all your guns confiscated. Better one gun taken than all of them.

With the proper licensing, it is 100% Legal to own a switch. You would have to apply for a FFL. There are videos all over youtube with more information.

That means there's stuff like full auto m16s out there, tommy guns, etc. But since the Glock 18 came out in 1986, there's no transferable ones out there. 😥FWIW, the cheapest transferable machine guns are still like $15,000 so it's not cheap to get into.
