      Thanks Daniel. This just scratches what we do here, but I wanted to build an awesome rock crawler and make it at a lower price then you could not build yourself. :) great combination of style, big on function and lots of bang for the buck! Thanks for watching.

    Any clutch upgrades with weights or springs needed for wheels that big?

    What wheel travel does this have now with current setup?

    2 questions...1) Do you adjust the new arms to get rid of the stock tie-in camber look of the wheels/tires?
    2) Do you prefer SuperATV a arms over High Lifter and if so why?
    I'm currently looking to do this setup on my 2017 teryx4 just like this one so all info and suggestions are appreciated! Love what you're doing and thanks!!

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 4 lety +1

      #1 yes, we adjust front and rear to a -1* camber.
      #2 most of our builds and parts sales are the SATV, but we do both. We will do the HL for the extra 1/2" offset to run a bigger tire set up, or if the customer requests. The SATV are also adjustable where the HL is not, but they do have a good pre-set camber.
      We can help you either way, and offer so many more options on builds to. Pmease check out more of our channel to see many more builds. Thank you for watching and subscribing.

    Nice unit . How did you get the 3" wider stance each side?

    I'm in Utah, but would possibly drive to NM if price can't be beat. Approx how much would a unit like this sell for? Since it's already been sold. Just a rough estimate.

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 5 lety

      Hiya AngryOscar, sorry for the delay, we get so many notifications all the time hard to keep up. We custom build to what the customer wants, AND we do offer pre-built "Hester Editions" ready to go. Here is the most current one, it is close to this one in the video but with a better top, bigger winch, and a vastly improved shock package. There is a full walk around video on it as well, so please watch it for a great view and telling everything that is on it, has over $4,000 off the total package ($20,999.00 Out the Door). Any questions please call and talk with John at (575) 445-3558 Tuesday- Saturday. We do also build from scratch any build you can dream! We sell out in Utah around Moab quite often, only 8 hour drive and a beautiful drive it is!

    What can I do to run 30 inch tires like that on my Teryx 4 would I buy spacers to run them on my stock Teryx 4?

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 2 lety

      Sorry for delays, we are not getting notifications for every question. You have to do arched arms, a lift kit (or best way our Hester Edition Elka shocks) to clear 30's. Spacers are going to widen your stance to gain stability. Let us know we can help with all your parts wishes!

      @@HesterEdition my 2014 teryx 4 has 650 miles and it just started not wanting to idle and has no power once I give it gas like it’s bogging down. I bought a brand new fuel pump assy with no change. I’ve been told to check the spark plugs and oxygen sensor. Have you ran into a bogging issue at full throttle that has literally no power?

    Well done on this build you guys! I'm curious as to what the total cost would be out the door for this exact same setup? Thanks,
    Cade

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 7 lety +2

      The "retail" price, adding what the vehicle cost and every part and accessory, all the labor came to around $25,500, the sale price as a custom build off the floor was under $22k tax and all, it went to Colorado as is, they did not change a thing. A lot of our custom builds when built from the start, you could not buy then build yourself for the price :) We discount every part, discount the labor then discount the final build. We can build ANYTHING you can dream and ship anywhere in the lower 48 as well :).

      Hesters Motorsports I just sold my rzr 1000 and believe this machine will be something to consider when we buy our next side by side! Is there additional cost for shipping? I'm in Salt Lake City, UT

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 7 lety +2

      Cade Rees we just sent a custom built Mule Pro FXT to Salt Lake, through Uship.com it was about $600 if I rememmber. we do a bit of custom side by sides and ship around the lower 48 so not an issue. we can build them any way you could want. The Teryx is a really cool unit, not as fast as your rzr you got rid of but will dominate everywhere else. rock crawling, mud bogging you name it, and they are just tough as nails made in America build quality. a great all around rig.

    what type of A arms are those and where could I get them ?

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 7 lety

      richard laipple we sell them for $299.95 a pair. 600 for the set. they are made by Super ATV. offset the wheels 1.5" forward and back. these ones however I fabricated my on 2" lift for them, welded to the arms and painted in Kawasaki factory lime green, not the green of stock, thats why they pop alot brighter too.

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 4 lety

      On each build it ultimately is up to how trick you want it. It is endless what we can do, the teryx playlist is nice to be able to see several differant set ups and then pick and choose what YOU want out of it.

  • @rzrkilleriwishiwereahonda3625

    that's going to to a Axel snaper an if you don't sleve the tire rod s your going to be screwed with those big tires been there done that.. I found just leave them at there stock height no Axel issues.. an put the high clearance A Arms an call it a day..

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 7 lety +2

      Unlike most manufactures Kawasaki uses large chromoly axles stock. The only way you can snap a Teryx axle is if you launched it and came down mercilessly hard on the throttle with a heavily modified engine and massive tires. They are not indestructible but pretty darn close. The rear axles look like they belong on a front IRS of a full size truck, 1 1/4" shaft. Teryx's are known to handle up to 36" tires with modified engine mud bogging on stock axles, this set up won't phase em :) As for the tie rods, have yet to ever see one bend (not that it's impossible, just never seen it) and I have seen twisted front a-arms from crashes.
      Sure if you punish and abuse your rig you'll find a way to break it. I have a customer with a 6" lift and 34" super swampers on a 2013 (built in 2013) and no issues. Like they say... Made in America and Built Kawasaki strong :)

      Hesters Motorsports The teryx is the tuffest out there. I have 4500 miles in mine with no issues. I have rescued 4 razors one being a brand new 1000. I have jumped it almost 5 feet off the ground never hurt it, rock crawld with 100,000 dollar rigs, and tore it up in the sand dunes, they are awsome. Really like the one you built. Want to upgrade mine.

    There's nothing "custom" about it, you just added a bunch of accessories.

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition  Před 7 lety +3

      So your saying you can walk into any dealer in the country and buy this rig right now right off the floor? Custom means it has been changed, customized, not that we built a one off creation from the frame up. Building a vehicle with a combination of bolt on and yes "custom" one off lift, tires, sound system and all this has is in every since of the word, we built a "Custom" Teryx. Can anyone duplicate it? Yes, or they can change one thing or another to "customize" their ride.
      Thanks for watching. :)
