corvetteanddrwhorule the story structure is what I respect the most it’s a 3 piece triangle of opposites with the Doctor being in-between a war of his greatest enemies and trying to save the world while stopping both it’s brilliant storytelling and the performances of Tennant and Piper are honest and emotional it’s quintessential Doctor Who

Russell T Davies really just ripped people’s guts out via national television, huh? On purpose? En masse? He really just went and did That. It’s so interesting to see someone experience an episode that’s been taken for granted as being sad for over a decade. It really hits home what it was like for the first time.
Such an intense episode from beginning to end. While Rose's departure is the best part and the main reason the episode is remembered, the rest of the story works quite well. The Daleks and Cybermen confronting and battling each other is awesome and fun to watch and the acting is pretty good overall. Such a sad ending as well. And I love Catherine Tate's short appearance :)
It's the music that does it. They used the last minute of The Lone Dalek in the final moments of the episode and even now it stands up as one of the most emotively powerful pieces of music used in the show I think.
You should probably NOT explain what stuff is before they say it... let her figure stuff out, you are ALMOST spoiling some of the stuff. Unless you have so little faith in her intelligence to figure it out when they say it or show certain stuff. It's ok to explain some stuff especially after the video is over but like when you said timelord science right before the doctor said it... its like really... did you have to say that, even tho he says it a second later. It just feels like you feel compelled to explain every little detail right away... give her some mystery if she doesnt fully get it, especially when u get to season 5, try not to point out certain things cuz most of us wouldnt of picked it up during the first run thru even tho its subtle clues on whats going on.
Gotta agree, "shes trapped on the other side......shes trapped on the other side, she cant get back". It's not spoilery or anything but it stops her from realizing these things herself. Allow the show to show her rather than you telling her whats happening as it happens. Keep it more natural.
Honestly having watched a few of their reactions she's not the quickest on the uptake and I think him explaining stuff as they go along is part of their usual watching experience.
The problem is that she talks a LOT and misses critical dialogue and fun jokes. She talks right over the PEST CONTROL line. If she would zip it, she wouldn’t need to have her hand held every episode, but she feels compelled to talk for the video. It’s honestly frustrating. Pause the video while you comment, or be quiet and watch the damn show.
Joe Vevers' parody about the conversation between the Daleks and Cybermen is the best! XD "This is not war! This is Cyberbullying!" Jackie and Pete's reunion is so sweet, eventhough they are not actually the same person, but it sitll wonderful nonetheless The Doctor is mad at Rose... cause for him, Rose is much better with her mother, instead of the Doctor... that's why the Doctor let her go...
This was very emotionally powerful because Rose was many people's first companion, mine included, and whilst as new viewers we had already gone through a regeneration, we still had Rose as a familiar face and to have her depart was quite gut-wrenching at the time and ripped away that last ounce of familiarity until we got used to the ongoing cycle of change.
I would legit buy a T-Shirt with a Mystery Science Theatre style shirt with the row of theatre seats and instead of the two narrators it be you and Megan with her pillow. Her pointing at the center of the shirt where the show would be. Insert w/e image you want where that "show" would be. :P
