My brain honestly gets a little confused seeing both the Gourmande Girls palettes next to each other. They look so similar and the fact that they have been released so close to each other confuses me 😅 I love these kinds of videos though, really appreciate the effort you put into them! ☺️
It just means you don’t need both. I’m glad I bought Nightshade. Grungy colors are not for me. I have a cool skin tone and prefer Jewel Tones. These are four palettes I do not need but it is fun to see them here.
I thought they were the same until Angelica pointed out. LOL
I know these videos must take you ages to film and edit, but I've got to say I absolutely love them.
This style of video helps curb my tendency to overspend. Instead of blind buying all four palettes, I get to see all of them in action and a look I can achieve with each one.
Then I calm my tits and either skip the purchase completely or just buy the one palette. You're basically doing a public service at this point xx
I can’t say personally that I’m burnt out on multichromes, I’m still really enjoying them right now. I love the creativity it’s allowing, and the fun I see the beauty community having with it, but eventually I can see that burning out, like all trends that come and go
Angie, thank you for being honest with the pallet prices. I am getting disappointed with influencers stating Natasha Denona is out of their price range, then promote these pricey pallets. I really feel your opinions are honest, your looks are stunning, and I really appreciate that.
Or its out and than do single bundles that can be more expensive than a palette 😅
The problem with multichromes, for me, is I don't think they look their best unless they are the only shade on the lid. You can't see the shift well if you mix other shades on the lid with them.
I love what you said about ‘this isn’t makeup QVC’. I’ve always felt that you keep things very real on your channel which is one of the many things I love about you. I’m always inspired by your looks, I love getting your opinions on formulas & colour stories & I’m always inspired by your looks! Eventhough you get these in PR, I appreaciate the fact that you mention that they are pricey. Personally, Im still not over multichromes but i am over these high prices 😅 i hope affordable prices makes a comeback in 2024 lmao

I'm the weirdo that's never really been very into multichromes, although I have to say the shade you used on the lid from the fantasy cosmetica palette was crazy beautiful.
I'm definitely not burnt out in multichromes lol I love them so much and most days I base my looks around them. I pick from all of my palettes for supporting mattes!

Sometimes I feel like multichromes are hard to incorporate into looks since they shift to such different colors.
I think the Haunted palette is my favorite of the 4 but I think it looks way too similar to their Nightshade palette
I agree that the gourmand girls palettes are maybe a little too similar.., but the special shades are the # 1 reason I buy indie! Your looks turned out stunning as always!!

I ordered the BBB recently deinfluenced palette and still waiting for it to arrive. I’m eyeing the ensley reign palette. I might pick that one up but yeah it’s pricey 😮. I’m really loving the special shades in palettes. I prefer a sparkly duo/multichromes than regular shimmers or satins. Great video btw. ❤
Me too, but I haven’t been blessed enough to receive a high volume of them in PR. They are still unique to me and I still strive to be fortunate enough to have some in my collection. I have to save for some time to be able to get a couple in my collection. So they are still exciting to me

There's something about that 🍄 palette that looks so pretty and unique to me. It's not very colorful or anything but idk I think it would be lovely in my collection.

I really enjoy these videos. I am very interested in the Harvest Moon palette but I've never tried the brand. It is really hard to purchase a palette that the price is so high without knowing if it's something that you will use. I really really love the colorstory and the special shades.
Horrified (split pea soup green) is everything! I appreciate that it is a VERY unique color that not many people would attempt.
I am so not burnt out in multichromes. I'm obsessed with them and probably only will be. To be fair though, I basically only get them from Clionadh and don't go hunting them from other brands unless there's something interesting that I don't feel Clionadh had (I have only two that aren't theirs).
I especially love then because I work at Ulta but I always work very early in the mornings. I love doing dramatic looks but need to be able to get ready in 30 mins or less so multichromes are my best friends for impressive drama, fast!
Same! I live for the drama and sometimes I don't have time for a bunch of matte shadows or trying to put on multiple shimmers for drama. Multichromes makes a dramatic look so quick and easy. One or 2 mattes and a multichrome and I'm good to go!

I'm totally with you on multichromes. They're soooo pretty to look at and swatch but for my actual makeup, I'm finding I really prefer good old regular shimmers. Or better yet, gasp, satins. Yep. I said it lol.

The Ensley Reign Harvest Moon palette is everything I could want and more 🤩🖤 I love a dark grungy shade all over with one or 2 shimmers on the lid. But that is soooooo far out of my price range 😫 I would like to see a mini version or wish they would've kept it to 12 shades

Thanks Angelica, you SAVED me BIG TIME!!! I was going to purchase the harvest Moon Eyeshadow Palette, & it would cost me in Canadian CLOSE to $160.00 with shipping. But I am VERY fair skin tone, & seeing how dark the pigments are & how you even said, that you will have to pull in lighter shades to help blende, made me see very clear, that for that much money, I would have to pay, I don't want to have to worry about having lighter shades to blend that work with the shades, in the palette... So knowing all this now, I am going to save my money, & actually purchased the Warlock Palette & sorcerer Eyeshadow Palette.... & with buying both palettes, I still saved me $60.00🎉🎉😊 Thank you so MUCH, for being so VERY helpful, I extremely appreciate it. & thanks for your code, that also saved me money. I agree on the multichrome burnout, I do love me a multichrome every now and then but I also feel like they don’t always behave the way I want. I usually don’t want my eye look to shift constantly depending on which direction I’m facing, I prefer having more control of what color is seen where on the eye.

I picked up the Ensley Reign Strawberry palette and they are now one of my top matte formulas. I’m like you and rarely wear neutrals, but I want this newest palette. If I didn’t have such a horrible experience with the owner of Bella Beaute Bar, I’d be open to trying more because I enjoy their color story.

I do love these creative colour stories with a few special shades, some multi some duochrome and always very shiny shimmers. I'm eyeing both recent Bella Beauté Bar palletes, basic witch and recently deinflunced. There's a retailer in Europe for many indie brands and decent shipping costs. Seen some smaller EU instagrammers say good things about this shop. Called monolith. As multichromes aren't as easily accessible here and I haven't splurged as much on them yet, I am definitely not burned out. 😅 And I'm finally ready to get more make up.

I KNOW all of these warm Reds, Oranges, and Plummy shades won't work on me, but seeing this Autumnal Pile of Dead Leaves look makes me want to try it anyway, same as the Olivine shades in the first look, which reminds me a lot of Glamlites Dirty Martini.
Of the four, the Second, First, then Third, Fourth, and I want to try the first two looks.

Yes you are allowed, so am I. Tones in multichromes are so specific to individual skin tones, that I don't want to pay a premium for something I won't use. I'll just pick up multichrome singles when I'm in need. Honestly, a good blend can make two seperate shimmers look like it's a single shifter 😊

I’m totally in my multichrome era because I love how I can just use one shade all over the lid and it’s totally show stopping. But even if it’s not a multi chrome, I prefer shimmers that are more of a piecey, dimensional, super sparkley formula, and I love toppers. I’m not really into the smooth classic metallic anymore.
I do love multichromes, and have so many, but I also really enjoy a good shimmer or duochrome! There are some shimmers that are so unique and beautiful without being shifty!
I love watching videos of you and Heather wearing colors, but I’m very basic. I tend to wear only pops of color. With that being said, I have never been too crazy about the special shades, but I find them fun in the palettes. I wish they used less multi-chromes and special shades without compromising the quality of the rest of the colors and made the palettes more affordable.

Great video with valued opinions. ❤ I have to say, (not blowing smoke here), after watching videos with all of these Halloween palettes, the Oden's Eye collab is far superior in curation to anything else. And I've seen them all. Little Ghosts and Trick or Treat are really year round options. The values of light to medium to dark is there. The vividness of color is there. The neutrals are there. 2 smaller palettes with tons of bang. Just my opinion.
I actually like negative reviews better than positive because it saves me money😂… BUT I will say in defense of the Fantasy Cosmetics palette that I almost always use multiple FC palettes together at once when I do a look, so I think even the more chaotic palettes might bring a lot of value to a collection when you have other things to pair it with. When I travel I love to being fantasy cosmetica palettes with some other matte-heavy palettes because their shimmers are so amazing and transform any look

I thought I'm alone in the multichrome low hype, I mean like you said I looooove to look at them and swatch them and buying them :D :D but I noticed I'm not really reaching for them a lot. I think the most usage I get is from the iridescent multies for the inner corner but on the lid I really prefer duochromes or other shimmer formulations more on the transparent basis so you can still see the matte underneath but with she sparkly shift on top. Maybe it could be becasue often I feel like when I use a mutlichrome it just completely takes over the rest of the eyemakeup because I have the tendency to pack it on a bigger area to utilize the shift but actually I want to show the rest of shades as well ...
Have you noticed that some shimmers are being called multichromes and have no shift and are charging for multichromes that really arent

Happy for Gourmande Girls to have released the two palettes, but I wish they had shown both up front because I bought Nightshade, but Haunted is much more my vibes, and now Nightshade is a bit redundant in my collection 😢 xx

The gourmands palettes may have the same color story but the undertones are different almost like a cool one and a warm one
I love the third look with the red and your eye color. It’s so stunning. One of my favorite looks you ever made was a lavender inner lid with a burgundy outer half. I can’t find that video again it was about six months ago I think. Could you something like that again ? We need more looks from the third palette when you have time. God knows you’re super busy.

I feel the same about multichromes unless the flip is complimentary to the look I was going for.
I am a little burnt out on multichromes as well. I have so many of them and understand they cost more to produce but when it comes down to it, I don't actually use them very often. I prefer to layer shimmers next to each other or just do 1 shimmer accent on a matte look.

I’ve never gotten fully onto the multichrome train. An eyelid doesn’t provide enough real estate to showcase them, and most are also too dark in their base. I love the OE multichromes though, because they are lightweight and have a light base.

Lol ...I think in a lot of cases you are right.Duochromes are cheaper and just as special so i think it depends personally.Some are better than others.some holichromes were disappointing to me that ive purchased the last few yrs.I think most people like a shift so at least a duochrome
Loved the video, my favorite look was the third one. That harvest moon palette is just too shimmer heavy, it’s confusing hahah even though it’s pretty. It’s a shame the mattes from the fantasy cosmetica palette didn’t work that well together, because that red/green duochrome is truly breathtaking ❤ loads of love xx

About multi-chromes - I think some of this pallets are simply over doing it - it's very nice to have one or two in the palette. The well curated, impactful and well thought through shades that work with the color story and really bring out the theme. What I am seeing is not that, instated it almost feels like indecisiveness - can't pick a shade? Add a much-chrome! Add MORE - people are bound to like at least ONE of them! Right? Which you might... but it althou means you are paying for special shades you don't care about - some of them are very similar to be honest. I
'd say my perfect ratio is one multi-chrome in a nine pan palette. And the palette should almost be build around it.

I love swatching black based multichrome shadows so much but I really don't wear them often. I tend to use light shimmers on my lipids. My eyes are small, slanted, and very close together, so dark everywhere does not look the best on me. I think I like super sparkling shimmers with a little shift most, like in the fantasy cosmetica palettes. I love sparkles but I don't like pressed glitters and shit because they're scratchy and heavy feeling.
