Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction. There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move. (3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus. (4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance. (5) That wonderful crescendo at the end. (6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 7.05 in your reaction video. If you let people only listen to the audio and let them tell as much as they can about the setting and artists, I don’t think many if any would guess this is a 10 year old without backing vocals keeping up with a full orchestra singing live on stage. The big blast at the end is incredible, but Angelina does so many beautiful things all along the way with a great build up to that big blast. She plays with her voice use, pause, tempo and rhythm and all the time she makes it sound so easy and relaxed. One thing is clear listening to this, surely makes me feel good :-)

Unless you are using studio monitors (high-quality speakers) you are missing about 50% of her voice. This would be the case with almost any music video but, it is especially true when listening to Angelina. To be taken as a serious reactor you will need to invest in quality earbuds or headphones. I'm sure your subscribers will tell you the same if they haven't already. It will be interesting to watch your journey as a reactor. 😊😊
Yes they already told me but I have a regular job (medical lincese) I'm a single mom and I did not just gave up cause my son cry everytime I say "no more reactions, I'm exhausted" I use his tablet to record and to be very honest, I'm doing reactions for him, I love reaction, I learned how to edit but this do not make me a youtiber,I could listen by my onw and point my finger to orher reactors. Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 17, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records almost two years ago. She has not been widely promoted yet, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, she graduates school this year, and her new album of originals should be released within the next few months, followed by a world tour, possibly this summer.

Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction.
There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 7.05 in your reaction video.
(9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!"
(10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause.
Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different

If you let people only listen to the audio and let them tell as much as they can about the setting and artists, I don’t think many if any would guess this is a 10 year old without backing vocals keeping up with a full orchestra singing live on stage.
The big blast at the end is incredible, but Angelina does so many beautiful things all along the way with a great build up to that big blast. She plays with her voice use, pause, tempo and rhythm and all the time she makes it sound so easy and relaxed. One thing is clear listening to this, surely makes me feel good :-)

Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

Angelina is a Norwegian born child prodigy in music. She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 5 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. She's also been said to be the girl of 1,000 voices. Yet even though we can hear the phrasing and style she puts in the songs, it's always Angelina that we hear.
At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more.
Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood.
That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old.
Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she dropped from the competition. It wasn't that she wasn't good enough to be in the final 5, but it was because she refused to sign with an AGT affiliated label, should she win. She knew very well what production hungry labels could do to her music. She even turned down Disney.
At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. Angelina is now 16 and lives in LA. She turned 17 on January 10, 2023, and will graduate from high school after the spring semester. From then on, she will embark on her full-time professional career. She's been working closely with Republic on her first album under their label. It's likely that it will drop shortly after her graduation.

About SHIELD, she wrote a song "SHIELD" at age 11, her original song, performed AT SKAVLAND ON NRK TV (in Norway) when she was 12 is a masterpiece. It`s on CZcams. There are several steps you can take to show your support for Angelina and other artists you feature on your channel, and I'll explain how, but first:
Why is it important to do this?
CZcams (Google) derives most of its revenue from businesses buying space on the channel to advertise their products. Unless you are using studio monitors (high-quality speakers) you are missing about 50% of her voice. This would be the case with almost any music video but, it is especially true when listening to Angelina. To be taken as a serious reactor you will need to invest in quality earbuds or headphones. Yes they already told me but I have a regular job (medical lincese) I'm a single mom and I did not just gave up cause my son cry everytime I say "no more reactions, I'm exhausted" I use his tablet to record and to be very honest, I'm doing reactions for him, I love reaction, I learned how to edit but this do not make me a youtiber,I could listen by my onw and point my finger to orher reactors. She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan girl she met girl whom was around her own age of around 6 years old who had no shoes and had scars on her feet; and also to bring awareness to children around the world who are in a similar situations . The little girl was weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings.
Angelina at six years old took her shoes off and gave them to this poor girl, and Angelina has performed on stage in honor of the pledge she made becuase of the encounter with this little orphan girl from then on . Angelina has honored that pledge to bring awareness for orphan and shoeless children around the world by performing always barefoot since that time , now ten years ago ,as she is currently 17 years old as of January 2023
Angelina takes on a different voice for each song she covers to give homage to the song, and never tries to show off her vocal abilities but always gives each song its due respect. Angelina has a octave range that matches Whitney Huston but she excels in her lower register and her low note ability is just mind blowing for a pre-teen or now at just a mere 17 years as of Jan. 10 ,2023.
