Hi! So I'm from the UK and used to be a support worker and we would actually get double pay on bank holidays. It was a private company though not NHS.. and definitely wouldn't get paid as much as you mentioned for Australia! I'm considering going out for a working holiday visa and realising support work is pretty well paid out there is amazing. Thanks for all the info! 😊

Social worker from Canada here! Thank you for sharing your insights and great to hear a fellow social worker doing a working holiday visa in Australia. Curious what recruitment agency you went through and what FaceBook group you were connected with? I am also looking into social work jobs in Australia (I have around 3 years of experience within the homeless sector and 1 year in the geriatric field) but wondering how challenging (or not!) it is to find social work jobs.

Hey, first I want to say thank you for posting this video. I have couple of questions for you - could you please kindly answer them from your experience/knowledge.
    1. What medical certificate do I need to apply for holiday work visa ?
    2. I thought you can only work 88 days in the farm ?
    3. If I get approved June 2023 for the visa does it end June 2024 or the date starts when I get to Australia- in my case Melbourne?
    Thanks

Not that I know of, but theres a lot of seasonal work over here - for farms + touristy areas so there is a lot of short term/flexi work. My employers never really asked about my visa but they would know that you can only do 6 months if your on a WHV
