  • Dr. John MacArthur is-far and away-America’s greatest Bible teacher. In 2015, I had a burning desire to understand what the Bible really meant, however, everywhere I searched, all
I found was grossly undereducated men who called themselves “preachers” or “pastors” who were chiefly interested in:
    1. Making money
    2. Gaining popularity
    3. Spreading a false gospel
It was quite obvious to me they had very little Biblical knowledge.
MacArthur, on the other hand, has a vast knowledge of the Bible and goes to great pains to explain it so articulately. I can honestly say that he changed the direction of my life. I am forever grateful to find such a wonderful teacher. Therefore, I’ve created this CZcams channel in order to propagate his accurate and thorough Biblical teachings.
I implore you to go directly to his website to learn more about the Word of God: www.gty.org
Here you will find a wealth of information on virtually any subject in God’s Word. You can search by scripture, Books of the Bible, or keywords.
MacArthur is not focused on making money, unlike many false Christian preachers today. You can download his sermons for FREE! Just click on this link to go directly to his sermons.

I pray that God blesses you with a deeper understanding of the Word of God!

Have you noticed how EVERY attack against Jesus was towards His identity? Same goes for us.... The moment our adversary can cause us to question our own identity, he has his victory over us. This is why the most important revelation for us to grab ahold of & never ever let go of... Is KNOWING exactly who we are. Precisely who this New Man the sacred text defines us as, is. Amen

Compare the reliability of the Scriptures with holy texts from other religions, and you will find that the Bible has incredible historical and archeological proof. Every belief system technically requires faith, but Christian faith is rooted in logic and rationality.
Here's a playlist of scholarly videos which explain the reliability of the New Testament. Each video is >19 minutes long.

#1. Trust God and he will not let you down. Trust in Him, ask him to confirm himself and give you peace in your heart - in doing this you are submitting to His Lordship and you will be rewarded and protected
#2 be with other Christians and talk and pray with them about your concerns. One of the greatest ways we experience God is through fellowship with other believers
#3 Read the Bible and talk to God about it and ask him to reveal what you want to know
If God is real (and He Is) then he MUST hear us. And he WILL hear you if you are longing for His presence and knowledge of Him.
Hope this helps and God bless you.
May I ask what changed your mind?

@@smokingcrab2290 I'll type out what changed if you feel like reading it. Might be a little verbose.
Basically I was raised as a fundamental christian, with a belief system much like John MacArthur here. I was a devout, born again believer, and I felt that love of God until I was around 17. I had something of a crisis around the age of 17, and began to feel that the world was an evil and cold place. Regardless of my feelings and terrible mental state, I began to research thoroughly, for hours a day, the bible, supposed contradictions, scientific arguments against god, and other similar things. These arguments are to this day in tact, and even though I desperately want to come back to the fold, I still have not been able to reconcile science with religion.
I later found that I am a spiritual person, and that being an atheist was incredibly unfulfilling and depressing. I want to feel love and hope, not sorrow and nihilism. So I made a deliberate choice to believe in some kind of God again, despite my many reservations. I have found in the short time that I have been praying, love and hope has returned to my life. I still struggle, but the difference is, in spite of the suffering, I feel hope for a better future for the first time I can remember.
I know that a true God hears my prayers, and is slowly helping me. My dilemma at this time is to figure out which God he is. I want to come back to Jehovah, mostly due to my familiarity with Him, but I cannot get past the, in my own opinion, flawed book that is the bible and its contradictions with the world we live in.
Thanks for reading. I might just choose to go back to church anyway. I don't want to think anymore, I just want peace.

@@tbmavenger71 TBM I have read your testimony. I felt like writing this to you because I know that God wants you to hear it.
All of us, human beings are born with a certain need inside of us that only God can fulfill. Some people try to fill it with worldly things such as drugs, alcohol, etc.
You previously said that you found some things in the Bible that are contradictory with today's world. Let me share something with you. The world we live in today is a completely fallen and corrupt world, led by the devil.
Please read what Ephesians 6:12-13 says:
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The God of the Bible is the same God yesterday, today and forever. The Bible is not like any other Book. It is the written Scripture inspired by our Holy God. Without flaws or mistake. I invite you to read it daily and have an open heart to His Holy Spirit. Trust that He will show you the way through His Word and I promise you that your eyes will be opened like never before.
He loves you and made the perfect sacrifice so we could have a way to Him by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray for your life and hope you make the decision of believing in every word that is found in the Holy Scriptures.
      Take Care.

I'm born again, I have a living spirit now, but my old man is not dead. He might be spiritually dead, but I haven't been able to bury him yet. I can go to sleep thinking he's been crucified but I still wake up with his bad breath in my face and he follows me everywhere I go. It's like those horror movies where they finally kill the murderer but he keeps getting back up and making you scream again. I just can't kill this guy... I could do what John MacArthur said, and "put on" a new look, but it would be the same as me dressing in a police uniform. I can play the cop, but I won't be one. And I can "play the Christian" but that only makes me a hypocrite. He makes it sound like "being good and doing the right thing" is as easy as donning a costume, but it's not. It's hard work and it takes years sometimes to break old habits and kill old desires.

Super exposition of this passage. Makes simple what we are to do. I just don't understand Mr MacArthur why you insert the baptism thing. You certainly don't get from scripture the idea of giving someone new clothes after being baptized. Not sure where you get that from at all. It seems to cheapen the message when these hypothetical ideas are brought in, as if scripture isn't enough and there has to be some additional fanciful tale to spur someone on to live a biblically holy life.
