    My Germany buddy, as a telecom consultant said that Indonesia is very challenging, is not easy doing build the telecom infrastructure in Indonesia. Not like India, Brazil or South Africa as the subcontinent country, Indonesia has 17.000 more islands, and 6.000 more are habitant. It's not easy connecting whole of islands, nature challange, roughest sea, volcanic mountains, with thousand ethnic and local languages. with a million complex problems He was still amaze.

    The economic powerhouse of Southeast Asia! I've always been genuinely interested to go to Indonesia, in fact it's the first country I want to visit and travel before going out of Asia. Unfortunately, there's not much Indonesian restaurants or shops here around my area. Indonesian cuisine has always been on the winning level in terms of taste, quality, and diversity. The only Indonesian food I can conveniently buy is Indomie(and the Mi ABC one as well, they're a lot here). They're very cheap and so delicious, goodness, God bless Indonesia! Thank you so much! Can't wait to visit Jakarta and Bali in the future! Woohoo! Hugs to my Indonesian brothers and sisters! Expand your businesses here in the Philippines, a lot of us Filipinos are big fans of your foods. Salam! Always smile and wkwk! Haha 🙂

    In my observation, Indonesia is trying to emulate both America's economic boom and China's economic boom formula.
    America's formula was to build infrastructure to connect east and west coast. Similar to Indonesia and its logistical nightmare by building fast transit road and airport. And China's formula is to have quick labor force and easy foreign investment for others to have manufacture hub or at least to ease the economic cost.
    Everything is done and wasn't stop even in pandemic time to suppress labor demonstration because prior to this time, Indonesian labor has enjoyed a lot of benefits and privileges even though they are not the most productive labor in the area.

      People who underestimate Indonesia, mean they do not know Indonesia's economic history in the eyes of the world. I only found out when Indonesia experienced a crisis in 1998. Currently, the Indonesian economy is starting to bounce back, and even other countries have collaborated with Indonesia a lot. Indonesia is not poor country.
      Actually the VOC was formed by the Elite Global alliance at that time, which chose Indonesia as its head office. In the years 1602 to 1799 Indonesia's economic development shot far and became the richest in the world in the history of human civilization because Indonesia's infrastructure at that time was already modern. However, the VOC went bankrupt and was taken over by Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands in 1800. That's when the Indonesian economy declined drastically and there was a war between Indonesia and the Netherlands until 1943 and at that time Japan took over until 1945. Indonesia is now starting again to recover the economy gets better.

    Indonesian here. Yep that's true, people are getting a lot more conservative in recent years. Also most common mindset in this country is "sekolah yang bener biar bisa jadi PNS atau dapet jabatan/kerjaan yang bagus" meaning we must attend school just to get a good position in a company or to become civil servants rather than to innovate and create more jobs.
    That's because working as civil servants or working at state-owned companies; you get a better standard of living. This is become a problem that makes people lazy and corruption and nepotism are rampant.

    Thank you for informing this, we Indonesians are really glad & appreciate it so much.
    But please let me give some extras:
    1. Indonesia was colonized by Dutch for 350 years, not 400 years;
    2. The almost 60% young conservatives, 40% of them are from Sumatra which is probably because of Aceh Province follows Islamic Law the most. So personally, the educational problem isn't on national level but only on regional level;
    3. Talk about Indonesia education, our Ministry of Education has announced a new curriculum named Kurikulum Merdeka (Free Curriculum), this allows high school students to freely choose the subjects they want, unlike before which they only got subjects according to their major study. It seems kind of late, but not too late, and I can see it as an improvement in our educational system.
    I'm sorry if I speak too much. Once again, I want to thank you for sharing this educative video about our country. Massive respect from Indonesia 🙂

    Indonesia's political stability under Widodo helped the country to boost in many ways. From Infrastructure, Defense, Economy and many more! Widodo even surpassed the achievements of past Presidents, from Suharto up to SBY. Here in the Philippines, i dont know when we will be in that situation. As political instability is ransacking the country for almost 3 decades now. Even up to now, the only thing that Philippine opposition knew to do is to instill instability rather than unity. Like the toxic democracy installed by the yellow movement that gives the Philippines nothing but chaos and destruction. Aside from that, Indonesia has so many state-owned enterprises that helps their country in boosting its economy and at the same time, gaining profits for the benefit of their people. Here in the Philippines, all of our former profitable and big state-owned enterprises were sold right after Marcos stepped down in 1986 by the governments that succeeded him. Philippine Airlines, Philippines equivalent of Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia. Petron, Philipines equivalent of Indonesia's Petramina to name a few. So thats how things work here. And for that, i hope Indonesia will achieve its goals! And welcome the year 2045 as a strong nation.

      Philippines has significant economic prospects. The Congress has already approved sweeping economic reforms through legal changes in our Public Service Act and Retail Trade Liberalization Bill. We have also passed new economic bills such as the CREATE Act and Bayanihan, where those bills lowers the taxation rates of foreign companies and the workforce composition of the said companies. In addition, the increased investment in infrastructure under the 'Build, Build, Build' program and our diplomatic consultation with other countries such as S.K. and Japan, which has led to the ratification of trade deals with them. In addition, the country is now part of additional trade organization, such as the RCEP. The path has already been paved the the PH's journey the economic development. The only thing future administrations needs to do is sustain these developments, further liberalize the PH market, and further crackdowns in bureaucracy and corruption.
      So it's better to vote for leaders who advocates these long-term developments, such as Duterte, and disregard politicians with band-aid solutions such as subsidies for the population, such as Leni, which only expands budget costs.
      I don't think the country is politically unstable, since we're as stable as Indonesia, but politically 'incohesive'. What I mean is if the current administration made significant long-term programs such as infrastructure development, then perhaps the next administration who is opposing to the programs made by the previous administration, cancels those developments. We saw this when G-M-A started the construction for the NCSR, only to be cancelled by her successor, Aquino Jr. There shall be a continuity on these positive long-term developments. If the opposing politicians gets to be the next president, he/she shall not cancel those programs, but expand it and improve upon it, so there's a loop of improvement and continuation.

    Indonesia understands, as one of the owners of the largest tropical forests in the world, Indonesia has a strategic meaning in dealing with climate change. We use this strategic position to contribute. Deforestation in Indonesia can be reduced to its lowest point in the last 20 years. Indonesia has rehabilitated 3 million hectares of critical land in 2010-2019, The Net Zero area has begun to be developed, including the construction of the Green Industrial Park in North Kalimantan covering an area of 13,200 hectares, which uses renewable energy and produces green products. “Good governance at the global level for the implementation of carbon pricing is urgently needed to be in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement and provide incentives for private participation by taking into account the capabilities and conditions of each country. Currently, Indonesia is in the final stages of finalizing regulations regarding carbon pricing to support the fulfillment of the NDC's target commitments. "I want to pay great attention to the technologies that the G20 countries can offer developing countries in the energy transition,"
