Tim, I feel your pain. In my lifetime i’ve lost my Mom, Father, Brother and Brother in law to cancer. Horrible disease😢 I’m SO very sorry. God bless you and your family and I pray that he heals your broken heart soon. Your Dad is happy & free of pain. You will be together again in Heaven where there is no pain or suffering. All tears will be happy tears. That’s a PROMISE!! Love you my brother❤️🌹🌹❤️

This is a very special song for me. It came out when my 47yr old brother was dying with lung cancer. He lived this song and it was one of his favorites. It's hard not to think of him whenever it comes on. Thank you Tim. My brother's name was Tim also

I think it was an always been one of the best country songs I have ever had and it hits home with so many people including me and yes with my illness that I have it’s not a killing on this but too sensitive and with what I’m dealing with isn’t a war with my nerves and the pain that I’m going through on a daily basis so yes it’s almost like I am dying and many of us with us on this probably feel the same way

I lost my mother to cancer, my grandfather and 2 years ago my younger brother. I go to the doc on monday to get my results. I love this song , I saw the video and his father Tug was closing out the world series . As a die hard royals fan I had bad thoughts of the phillies , but time goes on . I saw him celabrate and i felt happy for Tug, his son is a truly great person, and Tug was a hell of a pitcher

I listened to a lot of tim McGraw growing up. Would have been considered my favorite artist. My dad died not that long ago from cancer. Never realized the song was about him losing his dad but it makes so much sense when put in that context. Really does a great job of encompassing all the pain and emotions you feel through losing somebody so important.

I can't listen to this song without crying my eyes out. This came out the year after I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer and she was the total embodiment of this because she refused to just lay down and take their diagnosis but kept right on with everything she wanted to do in her life. I hope everyone has the chance to keep this kind of faith!
