    Georgia’s respect is next level. The detailed disclaimer of needing to say the victims name to advocate for him and how aboriginal communities may feel about that is so deeply touching and important.

    As an Australian, thankyou for covering this case with such sensitivity. Racism here is so prevalent but I feel like it doesn’t get talked about because we have a reputation for being laidback + friendly around the world. I’m appalled by the lack of investigation but unfortunately I’m not surprised

      Yes. My white Irish husband lived there for a year in 2006 and left because people were so racist and xenophobic. They were still very xenophobic towards Irish people too as if it were the 1920s still or something.
      Obviously signs like "no blacks, dogs, or Irish allowed" were still a thing in Oz then.

      I think for some creators (not Georgia but others) it’s a way to fight against the algorithms. If the AI algorithms detect the words “dead” “suicide” “killed” or others, sometimes it will automatically flag it as “not safe”, the video can be blocked or age restricted, and even be totally demonetized. Even if the person is doing advocacy work, the algorithm doesn’t care. Same reason some creators spell out “seggs” instead of sex because the work could get flagged and age restricted.

    • @SpaceDuchess977
      @SpaceDuchess977 Před 2 měsíci +4

      Creators that use alternative words are trying to get past the filter, so they don’t get taken down and/or demonetized.

    Ok your accent is too heavy for me. I don’t want to struggle to have to understand you. Unfortunately I will have to continue to scroll.

      English is not even my native language and I understand her perfectly. I think the problem here is you.

      As a native English speaker, this comment is just bizarre. Georgia speaks very clearly and 'properly'. She has no regional accent - some of which can be hard to understand. If you can't understand Georgia, then you'd be completely bamboozled by 99% of native English speakers!

    I found your channel from a true crime group on facebook where I posted asking for mysterious “unalived” people and someone commented Mark Haines and when I went to CZcams, your video was the first to pop up and I immediately hit subscribe and I can’t wait to binge all your videos!!! 🫶🏼

      I just read a few comments and saw people not liking the term “unalived” - I don’t use that to be cruel or thoughtless, I just didn’t want to cause anything to be flagged. I, too, struggle with mental health and I don’t mean to sound insincere 🥹
