cheers for the drive around Babylon etc, Ive never seen that side of 3rd Road.....always managed to get sidetracked before then. Some great little restaurants and hideouts it looks like. If you're stuck for ideas some more of a look around that area would be great. Cheers for the video

Last winter the Sailor Bar on Soi 8 was doing a great promotion early on Friday and Saturday evenings : pork or chicken kebab cooked on a barbeque at the entrance. Chips and salad inc as well as a beer or cocktail... all for 125 baht. Problem was it was so popular it sold out around 7.30pm and difficult to get a seat. The small 'market cafe' on the right hand side you pass at 19.55 just after New Plaza does a great bacon sandwich and mug of tea for under 100 baht. Beans on toast with Heinz beans ) same sort of price. Full meals early evening which are also good and very reasonable. Popular with expats/ long stayers.

Flintstone Bar , first bar i ever had a drink in Thailand . 30 years ago , name has never changed . Stayed in the Flipper Lodge . Told myself to pace myself . That didn't last long picked up a girl from a group of bars where the lower level forecourt is at Central Festival .

There is (or was) a very nice cocktail lounge/bar on third road called the "Bali Lounge". It is a bit of a walk-up the road from Soi Pothole.

21:10 It's a decent place. Stayed there for a couple of nights. Rooftop pool is OK with a good view and seats under a roof giving shade. Unfortunately prices have gone up quite a bit.

D Hotel is a nice hotel, I stay next door in D Apartment as it's cheaper, if you go down the next street over by the D Apartment entrance there is a nice group of around 7 bars all quite decent where I start my nights out, they get a few ex pats in too.

Your stressed out Trev , I'd go for an oil massage every day or every other day to relax because opening a new bar must be so stressful ,so chill out and try and take two days off just to recharge yourself

Just a question. Say i wanna live pattaya on retirement visa pretty soon. I know you can not work on a retirement visa. But i also want to maintain some kind of routine. I not wanna sit on my hands the rest of my life there. So the question is what to do if you live there and you dont own a bar ore anything. Can not chase girls all the time ore play golf. But how about volenteer work? Sometning to help the locals for a few hours a week. So maybe a video what to do on a long time visa. Btw great video again i be back december.
