Hello! Thanks for watching!. I've made a video about Counter-strike 1.6 as well! Tell me what you think about it: czcams.com/video/vHXQUSFgGro/video.html
Fun fact: CSS was originally intended to accompany Half-Life 2, but due to the delay in release of the latter, CSS became the first Source game to be released. Great vid, bud!
CSS was my absolute favorite. 32v32 on custom maps like de 3rd street was chaos. Played on VIA servers then UKCS. For ages. CSS was just about having a good time, spending hours on fpsbanana finding those perfect skins that were free. No lootboxes and overpriced skins. Such a good time
true. cs source was way ahead of its time and cs 1.6 scrubs hated it too much. also cs source came out like 2 years too early bcuz 2005 was a year when 1.6 pro scene was at its peak. if css came out in 2008 it would be so big now, maybe we wouldnt even get cs go
I love the 32v32 games. All the sh*t players will try to switch to winning teams, and get rekt again, and switch back and still get rekt and then cry that people are cheating then leave.
@@scortnent2584 That doesnt make any sense Csgo has casual and community servers And community servers in csgo are literaly the same thing as CSS but better The reason is becuase there is still ppl with potatos PCS and ofc that minority having nostalgia over it, thats why its player count isnt rly that high Nostalgia is a big deal sometimes, thats why CS 1.6 has more ppl than CSS itself

Source was the first Steam game I hit 1,000 hours in. Lots of enjoyment out of prison break, bhop, deathrun, mini games, deathmatch, zombie escape, etc. Great game, and ran good on my old laptop not even meant for gaming.
Same here haha, Man those Minigames servers, where the first person who clicked a button in the middle of the map got to choose, which minigame we would go to. damn, I miss those times...
I remember the day source came out, it was my birthday and I’d recently got a pc capable of playing it (it was cutting edge at the time). Aztec all day, dominos for dinner. Simple for some but memories I absolutely cherish.
Honestly I love css, hl2 textures and graphics. I grew up with them and I'm very used to them as I still play from time to time including garrysmod. It's just beautiful and nostalgic and it aged very well

@@Bennett2142 so people like you can get bothered about things that don’t matter? And if I’m not mistaken it was a couple of months. I could be wrong though.
I remember playing css back in 2010 as a kid, and i would always love joining deathrun, surf, and minigame community servers (mainly minigames). Great memories!
we played css as youngsters in internet cafes on public server and sometimes when the cafe was full we did some local rounds. i was the most fun when it was so packed and people stood behind you and watched and cheered :D was like 13-14 years ago now i still play it casually 1 or 2 times a month :)
played CSS during its prime and the years following that. it was so much fun. always online with friends, either gunplay, deathrun or zombies. sometimes those gimmick maps like iceworld or poolparty or the god damn simpsons map. i miss it a lot.
I rediscovered this game recently, I had been playing it on xbox 360 when I was young. Now it works even with my bad pc's and I'm happy cause it brings me a lot of nostalgia
Theres way more community server variety and different things to do in source, plus you can run it on basically anything these days. I still hop on occasionally to play this relaxed version of counterstrike which is basically extinct in csgo. A lot of my early teenage years were spent playing gungame and office 24/7 servers on source
I still play CS Source on Old guys and Old Farts servers. For me the recoil, spray patterns and hit boxes are perfect. I tried CS:GO when it first came out but it wasn’t the same. Now it’s not bad but yea that’s why I still play Source along with pubg and Star Citizen
I jumped from cs 1.6 to CSGO and maybe played Source for 10-20h max. I liked everything in 1.6 more. 1 key - 2 binds, different knife damages, zombies with actual hands, and CSGO for ranks, weapon spray, and game balance. But Source was a solid game... I guess?
valve burying the server browser and funneling everyone into matchmaking really put the nail in the coffin. the entire CSGO community just plays the same half dozen competitive maps over and over again forever with vanilla settings. Its fucking boring
simple, no major problems with balancing guns, good map design, good optimization, skins and market, low price tag and f2p , amazing esports scene which make people immersed in the game. all the things that valorant lacks
I kinda feel like every game that comes out nowdays just gets easier and easier... even tho i was a child i really enjoyed 1.6 and i still play it nowdays :) Source still feels better than global but i prefeer 1.6 because it feels better i guess. Also its mods were mostly fully custom (zombie escape servers have special guns, zomibe hand models etc) which is another thing that keeps me playing it. Id like if CS got a bit of its old feeling like CS Classic offensive (CS GO mod which mixes it with 1.6), since i feel like movement and shooting had a much alrger skillgap in the past.
I never even knew about this game, although it looks pretty much the same as this game I used to play called Critical Strike. And the fact that this game still has a strong player base excites me, gonna go download it right now! By the way cool video, +1 sub.
I still play CS:S every day, the physics make this game super fun, the graphics is simple, clear and sharp, textures are good, custom sprays, a lot of free skins, i love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently had to power off 3 machines due to the increase in electricity prices.. The servers that got to survive online? L4D and CS:S! These communities have the most loyal and skill driven players, and you will be rewarded for staying online.
The best memories I have on a multiplayers game since I play videogames. Thanks Valve & CSS. I recently bought 2 new servers on CSS btw 😂 (One FFA / Fun / Surf and one Minigames)
I remember playing those B hops servers religiously during the early 2010s, anyone who passes the bhop section gets an usp and gets to shoot the dicks off of the slower players, source was pretty fun
GoldSource and Source games should all be free to play at this point. Day of Defeat Source needs it the most because at least CS: Source has many servers alive.
Css bhop was never quite as popular as 1.6 because the strafe timing is weird. It was the best for surf physics tho and i dearly miss custom sprays. It also had the best plugins for warcraft servers. When CSGO released they didn't do justice by their players who already had 10k+ hours on community servers and focused too much on "esports standards" as an excuse to try and feel more like call of duty and that madness went on until they added the crouch timer which destroyed many players enjoyment of what was left of CS when it comes to skill based mechanics, including nerfing the awp strafing which killed surf deathmatch. And the Deagle didn't have first hit inaccuracy it was so much in css. I used to love maining AWP since 1.6 and in CSGO I rarely play it unless no one on my team wants a drop. Bhop LJ peeks made AWP feel so much more fun.
I still prefer the 1.6 death animation of someone flying back with a leg up when getting a headshot. It feels more satisfying and rewarding than a ragdoll falling on the floor like a sack of rice.

Three things:
1. Player Skin Menu
2. Custom Sprays
3. Unfiltered Banting
