i am quite new with mining i dont have rig i am doing mining with my gaming pc as i dont pay electricity i used to do mining with 3070 ti 70 cent a day now couple of weeks ago i bought 4080 super and i am mining since i bought the card from new :D why do you even need overclock for mining ? could you explain to me i am mining with regular gpu clock i didnt touch anything i got 3000 mhs and got 2.2 dollar a day profit currently my gpu temp is 66 memo 58 Fan speed 66 . do i need to change anything it looks fine to me.
You want to correctly overclock and undervolt the gpu. you overclock to get more hashing power and you undervolt to squeeze as much hashing power out of the GPU you can while using the least amount of power possible to save on electric costs. If you're getting 3000 mhs on a 4080 without overclocking then i would probably leave it alone. a 4080 WITH overclocks is showing to get like 2600 mhs. that's some pretty good silicon lottery if you're really getting 3000.
@@MaddioDaddioMining my card is Suprim X so it is not a regular 4080 super i paid for 1149 Sterling. in rigel mining software says 3.020 gh/s. SBR mining i got 2.400 but with rigel mining i got 3.020 if i mine ALPh i got 3.6 with SBR mining. i think it is related to mining software aswell and my fan working on %63 percent with 63 core degree. it Shows on the heromminers 24h avarage is 2.92 GH/s as i am playing games sometimes during the mining so i lose some hash by doing that.
if u don't overclock u don't get good results, stock overclocks uses too much power which is unhealthy for GPU u can burn it! its too easy to overclock i suggest u should do it! i started as gamer too!

I am really inexperienced but i dont believe stock is harmful for gpu as i said i got 3.000 mhs with 63 degree around 290 watts with 60 percent fan speed as i know 4080 super maximum watt limit is 320 my pc never shut down for 2 weeks it is mining for nonstop plus i do gaming in same time too everything looks fine to me to be honest i dont wanna do overclock brand new card as all the temps are fine to me. I think with mining you do underwatt not a overclock :) i am even getting more than than what 4080 gets with stock clock speed my card is suprim x it is higher clock speed anyway.
i wanna do mine solo aswell but i doing pool mining with rigel mining software but i dont know how to set up solo mining i am mining on herominers.
for solo mining on herominers all you have to do is put solo: in front of your wallet address. ie
solo:your_wallet_address
