I can’t get over that John Sachs was only 32 when this was made, his delivery comes across like he’s been around decades by this point - though granted the old school presentation methods are different (better) than today. I reckon he should be approached for Countdown - a notoriously tricky role to fit since the loss of Richard Whiteley
I love the music, especially the maze round.
Me too great memories.
Agreed - a pretty high bar for quiz Qs also!
Great theme tune, you can't go wrong with an octave bassline.
Top comment. It's also quite straightforward to play on your own organ. If you'll pardon the expression.😂
John Sachs is a national treasure.
He looks a lot different from when he was in Fawlty towers
He was the event commentator on the ITV version of Gladiators.
When I use to hear his voice in Disney adverts it sounded like a happy smiling man.

John later commentated on Gladiators, an YTV now as ITV show in the 1990's
Used to watch this all time. Love the music the from the maze round. Could make a dance tune to this!
That music gets SO intense. It builds to an orgasmic crescendo.

love this show was 15 years old at the time. I had to record it as I was at school. the maze music is awesome.
The maze music is in the clear somewhere, that I know..
I agree. Love the music to bonus maze round!
The maze music was always memorable - it was actually recorded in Glasgow and designed to run for exactly 60 seconds to fit the maze round.
This is a mid '89 episode of the British quiz show "Four Square" (on BBC1 - United Kingdom) and the two contestants competing are Pat & Errol. 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
I remember John Sachs when he was a DJ on Capital radio and of course his dad was Andrew Sachs(Manuel in Fawlty towers)
Also did commentary on gladiators and is a voice over for Alan carrs epic game show
I followed John Sachs here from Gladiators!!!!!
109 episodes were made, yet I can only find 2 on here. Has anybody got some more uploaded somewhere?
Thanks for the upload, I remember this game show eeen though I was only 5 or 6
My mum was on this show, not this episode tho. full early 90s big hair and glasses that could let you see through time
It's the commentator on gladiators
They could bring this back. Never saw it on it's first broadcast as I was in school. I have the MP3's for the title and the maze music.
This Theme tune is so catchy 😁
'A very nice souvenir'...Yes, I am sure to this day, people marvel at Errol's certificate.
I'd pay good money for that
That’s the guy who used to do the voiceover for a ton of trailers for Disney movies in the UK, during the 90s!
He also did the commentary on Gladiators.
I have never seen this but the theme tune is a banger!
hold on a min that errol person has appeared on going for gold
and turnabout?
@@robertwest32 I thought I just saw him mentioned on the episode of Turnabout I watched just before this 😂
@@robertwest32turnabout... There's a blast from the past. I'm off to watch a CZcams episode now!
If the Sears Tower has 110 floors then it must have 100 floors. Errol was right!
early emoji in this game lol
I'm going to go ahead and upload the junctions from this unless you tell me to sod off. With linkback of course.
Sure go right ahead. Can I tell you to sod off anyway :P
If you like.
2:43 ☹️
This show is really underrated
It was perfect half-term or off-sick material.
When in the year, roughy was this shown?
Around lunchtime
Top bantz in the 80s.
The lady wins....nothing for winning?
She wins a trip to somewhere in Europe of her choice I think.
She advanced to the next round as this was a knockout quiz.
