    I own a McLaren 570 Spider. Although it sometimes doesn't recognise the key, once it does, the driving experience always brings a huge smile to my face. It's simply incredible! Despite the occasional key trouble, the driving experience overshadows reliability concerns.

      True that buddy...but that is also exactly the reason why Mc's are deprecciating so rapidly, because the same people with money are just buying "cheaply" and when selling fast for the same excuse of needing to rid off 🤷 in that regard Porsche and Ferrari are smart....they won't sell special models to anyone with enough cash and making possible that the same person flips it for a profit...keeping the brand exclusivity, McLaren was smart only with Ultra series like Senna, Speedtail amd P1 amd those are desirable 'cos of exclusivity, and price 😎

In terms of pwrfance and driving perhaps all these super cars have gotten so good (as you say each McLaren in their lineup does all this well) that it makes it a lot harder to differentiate them from the next or or past models. I would still love to see you drive one of these in anger on a track day event! It does sound fabulous ! Thanks tim!

    I can't help but get the feeling that McLaren is currently struggling as a company - I know they are having financial issues, as indicated by selling their HQ. I know the Artura would have cost a lot in development but seems not to be selling in decent numbers, and their earlier GT was a bit of a miss. This kind of budgetary constraint shows in the 750s in that in terms of a refresh, there appears very little in terms of aesthetic changes to differentiate between this, the 765LT and the 720s. I hope their situation improves soon as they're quite a flagship company for the British Automotive Industry.

    • @hdmk213
      @hdmk213 Před 7 měsíci +1

      Agreed, safe to say they'll struggle to collect the development budget to create an entirely different car / proposition - such as a SUV, or front-engined grand tourer (like the 812 Superfast). I'd still love one someday though, and I can't say the same thing about Ferrari's mid-engined cars

    The issue I have with this car is 1. The exhaust doesn't look as good as the 720s and 2. They would have held back on this car because they couldn't make it better than the 765lt without pissing off their 765 customers. So the 720s is still the better option imo

  • @daveh98
    @daveh98 Před 6 měsíci

    I really wish reviewers would start being their own brand and give honest opinions on these cars because their old 720s takes haven't aged very well. They went overboard with it being "too tame" and it's all based on an exhaust sound that's less loud than the Lamborghini Huracan. I honestly think my 720s is way more engaging than the huracans and vipers before it. That's due to the light chassis and amazing steering feel that both are truly best in class. The 720s was a benchmark car and is aging really well from the looks down to the driver engagement. I think it's not far off being one of the best ICE super cars ever made. This probably ages pretty well because eletric is the future and driving engagement is going to have to come from things other than pure speed sooner than later.

    I have owned 2 Mclarens and never again - my last a 720s spider constantly went wrong and the service from Mclaren from CEO down was appalling - I will never return to the brand and I was such a fan - not any more!!

    Looks great in black with gold alloys. But what’s going on with that centre screen. Interior is very dated, I’ve seen smart cars with a better dash set up. And while I’m here moaning, I would like to see the Shmee be less softly softly, and more aggressive with the cars. Keep up the good work Shmee…..

    I remember they used to say Ferrari never win F1 championships when they are building amazing road cars.
    Whilst i like the 750s, McLaren might be winning a championship this year. 😂

    I loved the moment Jay Leno told the a nearly unbelieving Piers Morgan that his McClaren F1 was worth a cool $20 Mil. The more I study supercars, the more it seems the early, rare stuff is making income and the modern, mass-produced stuff is going cost you a small fortune. Get in early, get a rare or full spec, and take care of it.

    P1 and depreciation must not be used in the same sentence. If for some bizzare reason they go down in value, you should buy one immediately.😂

    I think you should swap your SF90 for a Lamborghini Revuelto since you have a order for the SF90XX placed.

    I think that a facelift would have done justice to this technical improvements from the 720s because let’s face it, it is still a 720s…
    Ferrari , with the F8 tributo, which was an improved 488 , did a facelift that makes a car of its own, here unless reading it on the badge, I wouldn’t recognize which is which in the street

    Is the 750s Mclarens way of shooting the 720 was a piece of shit from a quality perspective and now they've just made a version that in theory will work?
