Congradulations Don Slater For 40 years on WAVY
Truly a master of watching, understand and notifying of the weather in his section of the world.
Don is the best. This was a great piece. WAVY should do one about Andy Fox too. 🤣
Don is remarkably accurate when it comes to his forecasts, often going against the opinions of his peers when it comes to things like snowfall accumulations, and he’s always right.
Thank you Don Slater for your hard work keeping us safe!
I grew up in Norfolk and listened to TV when living in Currituck NC watched WAVY TV from 1979 until 1989. Moved out of area 1989. Not long ago watched a little part of a weather broadcast and thought, I have seen him before ! I recognize him ! Last time watching fall of 1989. What a memory to see him still doing it !
Congratulations Don!!! You are truly the best. Whatever I'm doing when it is your time to broadcast I'm directly center seat waiting to here your forecast. You are the on point man and you are amazing.
👏
Loved it
I’ve always loved checking in on the weather with Don. His voice, especially at 0:10, is engrained in my head from watching the weather all the time as a kid
He wasn't the only anchor
40 Years of weather forcasting on WAVY
Don reminds me of Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day.
