Man I miss Toby. Saw him in Wheeling WV back in the 90's. Listened to about three hours of his best songs today. Breaks my heart. What an amazing voice and song writer. Just wish his life hadn't ended this way at 62. What amazing talent and person especially how he supported the American Soldiers. Definitely one of the greatest country music artists of his time. This was really hard on me. In 1993 when I first heard his Song "I should have been a cowboy" it quickly became my favorite song. After that Toby became my favorite music artist. I saw him in concert 3 times. In Dallas, Houston and Austin Texas. I welded for the same company here in Texas for 30 years before I retired.. I was blessed to have a boss who allowed me to have a MP3 player. It was loaded with Toby's music..His songs got me through 30 years of hot 🥵🌡️ Texas 100+ degree summers and 30 degree cold ❄️ 🥶 winters. Music helped take my mind of the wheather conditions and other problems at work.. Before I knew it time had come for me to hang my welding helmet up for the last time and retire. Music helped get me through day after day.. When Toby's songs played I could feel myself right back at those concerts again. One huge party of people who started out as strangers and left as friends talking about his concert for weeks on Facebook. His tribute to our military people gave us all goosebumps. The American flag on the huge back scene waving.. A soldier from each branch of our military present on stage brought cheers and tears throughout the audience making you proud to be an American. The jets flying over the stadium made us all feel protected..Toby put oon concerts I will never forgive and I was blessed to get to experience and enjoy them. I have no doubt he will continue to pack the stadiums in heaven..I look forward to seeing him in concert again one day.
