Except for this video, there is not that much technical explanation about Unifi. I really thank you very much for this and I am waiting for more detailed videos about Unifi.
this was very good. My only criticism is that showing it in operation, with "tc -s qdisc show", losing packets, doing marks, and with a backlog, is essential for me, at least, to confirm it is actually working.
I understand the overall principles, but trying to understand if the smart queue on the UDR is "smart" enough to be suitable for the UDP packets for cloud based VOIP for a few concurrent users with others running HTTP based RDP.
I have two UDM PRO devices. I tried it on two devices. fq_codel does not enabled when the WAN connection type is PPPoE. The output of "tc qdisc show dev eth8/9" comes out as FIFO if it is PPPoE. why is this?
I don’t use PPPoE, so cannot test it. According to a thread on a forum, community.ui.com/questions/Edgemax-PPPOE-default-queue-type-change/3b04dd28-0659-4dd7-9f39-2563a94a138b, there might be issues in edgemax. Not sure whether for UDMP UniFi has any special logics as well.
Thank you so much for this video. You are filling a documentation gap that Ubiquiti have placed in front of us all. Much love.
Amazing, you are the only one who has explained this topic well. Not even Ubiquiti has documentation on this 🤦♂️. Thank you again kind sir👌
Wow! Thank you for this. You are probably the most professional UniFi presenter on whole CZcams. 😅
Excellent. Just what I was looking 4. Thanks
Top notch presentation. Thank You.

What a legend! Thank you!

To control the length of the video I decided to skip those details.
@@hz777 so does everyone else. To me, it's important to show drops or marks as proof all that you've done is working.

Not sure whether you watched the other video about testing. You might test your scenario then let us know the results.
