exactly what I was going to say

@@TangoOne This one is built from thinner tube, some said it was flimsy after assembly. Returned it before opening box.
I spent a little more for the Eastwood style…but got it from Jegs alot cheaper. The price went up two days after I got it tho..
It’s very nice welded round tube..HEAVY
Room for Primeweld TIG225 on bottom and trusty Hobart mig on top, sweet metal hoops for bottles, built in rack for filler rods..I like it.

Maybe to tighten up the chain you can just use a wire feed through 2 links & just twist it, or use a bolt with 2 washers & a nut run through 2 links. (of course leaving a link between the 2 links you run through the wire or bolt through) & just tighten the bolt/nut until it is as tight as you like. Well there is more than one way to skin a cat (fish not house cat). Your review it very nice, (I need the measurement most of all). I just got a Primeweld 225x welder & it's kind of big but it look like it should fit fine. Thanks a lot.

I bought the Chicago Electric welding cart originally. I just purchased the welding cart you showed here on sale for $99.99. I am going to use a Yeswelder Firstess MP200 welkder when it comes out next month. You did a good review of it. Thank You.

Thanks for pointing out that the upper side arm is reversible, to access the L side of a MIG unit.

I bought this cart for a 60 pound TIG machine that also has a 25 pound water cooler that the welder top-mounts. Since the cart is still in the box, I plan to return it and just use a furniture dolly with a plywood deck and back plate for a 80 cubic foot gas cylinder.
Once I get time, i’ll build my own cart out of 1/8” 1-1/2” square steel tubing. I could try using this cart and weld all connecting tubes, but most likely more steel needs to be added.
Most likely this cart would collapse if 250 pounds was mounted on it.

I think it would have been ok with your planned setup honestly. Unless your trying to roll it on gravel.

Two riv-nuts pulled out on mine. Wished I paid for the heavy duty. I'll eventually use the welder itself to beef up the cart.

At HD right now. Didn't get the bigger cart because I just own a single welder and tank. Simply going to replace some bolts today with better SS metric bolts and a little more length so I can really tighten with nuts+larger washers. Soon I'll weld together the wobbly sections and I'll be golden. We have welders for this cart after all haha

@@airvine91 good stuff! Sometimes we gotta add some beefiness to these little carts!

It works if your not planning on rolling it around. Honestly it’s a pile of shit and with a small inverter machine some leads and a 155cf gas cylinder on it. Say about 200-250lbs. It feels like it will collapse when you try to wheel it on a smooth concrete floor. If you have any plans to wheel it outside to weld on your car or something then good luck because I’m willing to bet your going to have a big mess to clean up. This thing should have been rated for 150 lbs max. I bet they gave it a 350 lb rating because it collapsed at 351 lbs sitting still.

Thank you for the excellent review. I'm considering purchasing one of these carts. I have a Vulcan Commander 225 (arc welder), but I'm unsure if it will fit on this cart. I've searched all over, but I can't find the tabletop dimensions anywhere... said another way, the area that the equipment can sit on. My 225 has a footprint dimension of 18.5" x 26". Do you know if it will fit?

What's that unit on the floor with the blue hose coming out of it?

    • @hcr-motorworks
      @hcr-motorworks  Před 4 lety +1

Thats a Refrigerated air dryer for removing the moisture out of my air hose lines. Its great for keeping the air lines moisture free when sandblasting, powdercoating, and painting. The blue hose is the rapid-air line system that feeds the shop air drops
