Bonos voice was at its peak (imho) in 1986. It's showcased on the Conspiracy of Hope gigs. I think that Joshua Tree was also recorded in 1986 which has some amazing vocals (eg redhill mining town)

In 2014 or 2015 they released their album free on Apple Music. If they haven't done that, I never would have found this amazing song and all the others on that album. I remember that being the only album on my phone, and listening to it over and over at the age of 15. Now years later, my husband sings it to me. Grateful.
