I am always amazed at GC's SOG. Now that La Vagabond is getting the F-1 version of a sailboat (Rapido 60) maybe they will come close to your SOG, no other channel seems to. Riley seems pretty keen about putting their new ride to the test.
On average around 5 people are killed by sharks per year. About the same number are killed by cows. About 500 people are killed by hippo's per year. Don't know why there haven't been any scary movies about cows or hippo's, but so many about sharks?
I wonder what the SA government is trying to achieve with that power cut. Protect the environment? With all those small gensets starting up? I doubt it (at least the result will not be a protected environment... ;-)). Save energy? I'd guess everyone with a tiny bit of brains has a battery bank or a genset by now. Especially the battery banks will cause the opposite - everyone will be recharging their batteries on top of the normal load, with some extra kWh going to conversion losses.

The trimaran will be much faster, the Outremer will be a whole lot better compromise of comfort and speed.
