You know what I believe?
I believe that Mario Party 9 could have been a much better game, even with the linear boards. If they used the regular system of Stars and Coins, Used Red and Blue Spaces instead of Blank spaces, and had the Minigames go in a regular turn cycle. The primary issues with 9 would be solved. Also, the Boss Minigames are perfect Battle Minigame settings. It could have been great.
