- It's finally here and he has fixed the store! Jon Ruda's RVM (RAM) 3500 for American Truck Simulator! I am using the steam workshop mod that adds the correct logo to Jon's truck.

There is an option to show the speed limit for cars if you go into your settings, in case you're wondering how to change the speed limit so it's more realistic for hotshot trucking like this
I truck for a living as I’ve mentioned before and have done some hotshot work when my normal rig is down and trailer sway and bobbing is definitely accurate, especially if the weight is centred over the trailer axles as opposed to more spread out. Side note, your ATS videos as well as a few other IRL CZcamsrs has inspired me to create my own content! My very first video should be up this weekend.

I picked up the truck as soon as I saw it had dropped, it's an absolute beautiful truck (but everything Ruda does is amazing!) Great to have a cruise and relax Jeff, love the red on the Ram. And how beautiful is JBX really puts ATS on another level

Also, yes this sounds like a 3500 and the "jake brake" in this truck is an exhaust brake, and it also sounds pretty accurate. Outside of the air brake sounds (which I understand) and IRL this truck (especially in a Laramie or higher package) is a bit quieter due to sound insulation and sound glass, its really accurate to real life.. thank you for showing it off and thanks Jon Ruda!

Thanks for the video Jeff, great video quality like always! I wanted to buy Jon Ruda's RAM and the American Dream Bundle and I am definitely buying the RAM! I am still not sure if I will buy the American Dream Bundle. One thing that's for sure is Jon Ruda never disappoint with his mods!

Loved Maverick as well. I too agree that it was well done building on the first one, but with its own story line.
I will say, unloaded trailer going flat out downhill is absolutely terrifying. The truck and trailer sway like crazy over 80, and over 100 it's damn near uncontrollable. Definitely fun to try and go as fast as possible before crashing 😂😂

Hey Jeff, it looks like it might be a wheel mod conflict, whichever the ones the Cascadia traffic is using. The artifact only appears when the Cascadia goes by you. Hopefully this helps out slightly. Great video as per usual!
I usually get that issue, it's either a GPU getting ready to die, or it's an issue with 1.44

The sky boxes look soooo good with the pack you're using.
Jeff you can get rid of the airbrake and backup beeper with this truck by going into the open def file of the ram click the def folder, then vehicle, Truck, Ram.3500 and then hit the chassis folder. Once there open the sound.sui file and you can delete the lines for airbrakes and reverse beeper and change the number of sounds to 5. After that you're good to go just put the open def file above the other files and you're good to go

I went and seen top gun in a IMAX theater. I grew up with the old movie and old pc games. Windows 3.1 I think lol. I think they done a awesome job on the new movie!

Hey Jeff! Saw that you are doing the ATS vids again. I found another good map mod that might be good to check out. It's actually relatively new. This company called Team Reforma came out with this 1:1 fictional map that is pretty cool and feels as close to real life as u can get. They also make another map mod that includes a good chunk of Mexico which is fun to drive as well (and even includes a little slice of Texas!) that I would check out. Would be cool to see it in an upcoming video!

this is what i want to do more of on a ATS i just always thought u had to rank up and pass certain things and levels before u can start using regular trucks and other things and not always semis.. i mean maybe u still do, i havent played this in awhile.. nice niceeeee
Another great vid! I've noticed from personal experience that the truck has a micro twitch or 'butt wiggle' when you slightly adjust the steering at speed. Also 80mph seems to be the threshold for max cruise that's still controllable. The interior mirror is on the right hood settings iirc.

I haven't seen the Top Gun sequel yet, but based on trailers for the movie that I've seen ads for here on CZcams, it looks promising. I have seen the original (and my younger sister absolutely loves it as well), and one thing I love about it is the "Danger Zone" soundtrack in the opening scenes, which is now stuck in my head for the rest of my life. :D
Love the video Jeff. Humorous and at the same time true comment, if you want some hotshot realism, drive like a bad 4 wheeler. Sadly that’s how hot shots drive most of the time. I see it regularly.

I don’t do any hotshot trucking but my grandfather pulls a 33ft. travel trailer and if a small gust of wind hits the side that thing will start to swerve at highway speed. That’s why he doesn’t go over 60 mph when it’s a bad wind day

Hey Jeff loving the content you keep putting out on the game. I’m a new comer to ATS and loving the game. Was the JBX Graphic mod just a mod you move over to your mod folder once downloaded?
I forgot how great that game looks. I have ATS, but hoping they end up making Georgia, where I am. I also had no idea people were making mods for the game.
I’m digging the Nascar Hauler Mods it’s so awesome driving them around, definitely make more money they you would starting off the with the 200-400 loads

I have drove a 3500. I transport 5th and bumper pull RV's. The engine sound is off but not by much. The sound matches more with a delete kit but still not quite. Just thought I would answer your question. As far as trailer sway it depends on traffic and wind conditions it can be pretty extreme even with DRW trucks. Sorry if I mistyped somewhere I'm currently pulling one rn with a chevy 3500

Also I watched the first Top Gun before seeing the new one a few days ago just to refresh my memory, and man - talk about cheesy! I swear that movie was a lot cooler when I was younger. It has its iconic moments, but I found myself laughing throughout most of it. The new one was way better! I think only because it's new and the first one just seems very outdated at this point, and definitely some parts just didn't fly right (pun intended).

ive done 9 car hauling and those double deckers sway a lot so i would assume the wedges do to with half the weight up top. Love the vids btw!
Great Video! My SRW F350 will sway a bit at that speed and 17k lbs so I am sure 29k lbs would sway at 70mph. I would say that's pretty accurate!
