✅1250 watts of roof mounted solar
✅840ah (10.5kwh) Power Paul lithium batteries
    ✅Victron 12/3000/120 inverter/charger
    ✅Victron smartshunt
    ✅Victron cerboGX
    ✅Victron Touch 50
✅Two Victron 50/100 smart solar charge controllers
✅Redarc Bcdc1250d dc to dc charger
    ✅WiTi Caravan alarm system
✅External Anderson plugs for portable solar
    ✅Electric Jack
🔋Retaining the factory fitted bmpro system, this setup allows fill use if all the factory fitted Gpo’s, including the Air conditioning, microwave, washing machine, Hot water system and more.
🔋Having had a few caravans with smaller off grid setups in the past, these guys knew what they wanted. They asked for the ability to run the Ibis 4 Air Conditioner all day without using too much of any battery capacity. Here you can see we have achieved that and more. 10.5kw of lithium and 1250watts of solar. With an extra 600w (50a) coming in from the vehicle.
This system has enough solar and vehicle replenishment to keep up with the Air Conditioner and charge the batteries at the same time.
Run the ice maker, coffee machine. Hairdryer or toaster. Any item you use at home.
    Happy camping ⛺️

Gidday Matt, Another great video. You explain things so well, pretty well anybody should be able to understand.
    cheers

Wow. Nice set-up. You read my mind about the 48v. I was just thinking about the cable sizes and wondering why not 48v. Then you talked about it. Keep it up

Hi Matt, you do great videos,I love the technical details you explain them so well, have just finished separating my lithium batteries,so they charge from solar panels and DC charger at same time, put them on a victron 100/30 with two 120 Watt panels, fingers crossed , batteries are 2 120amp. 🤗👍

Matt thank you for sharing again. Information overload really appreciate your preferred system and why with different parameters and variables.
Agreed it is like playing Tetris to find the best outcome.😂

Hi Matt. We are in NZ and currently are installing seven Split diode bypass 215W HiTek panels onto a new Crusader Prince. We are installing a Victron system into the van and the layout under the bed is very much the same as this video. We are installing 3 Victron MPPT solar controllers to keep the mid panels, Starboard and port panels isolated from each other. What we have not figured out so far other than running the DC loads through the BM Pro 30 HA II how do we collect the BM Pro Data for VE or can interface? All I am really trying to achieve is the water tank data as this van has BM Pro dipper sensors. The alternative I guess is to fit pressure sensors or side mount resistive sensors. I understand if this is asking too much. Victron NZ is also trying to work this out as this (Apparently) has not been achieved here before. And yet there you are just over the ditch.......

Forget the ARM tank senders used here by BMPRO,
      -Victron Tank 140
      -Mopeka water tank senders
      -ruuvi tags for temp
      -Mopeka Lpg for gas.

Is the BMPro being used for any monitoring or completely shut off? Great video, lots of info, especially the 12/24/48v differences. Was the OEM wiring any good or a bit 🍝?

So with the original battery plus BMS how is that wired to the new system .

Hey Matt, what 200w panels are you using mate?
I have 800w (4*200w) and even back in summer on a cool day with a perfect cloud corner I could only see 600w for a second then back to 550w.

  • @man.i.literally.failed6772

Are enerdrive solar panels any good

they are fine but I find there are better units out there with more range
