I've had this thing for 30 minutes and already hate it. Should have bought one that has the pull-to-start knob.
Same, I’m pissed off rn trying to wash a load
Is that your only complaint?? You obviously knew at the time you bought it that it doesn't have a push/pull selector knob.
I hate mine! It’s honestly the worst machine I have ever had.
same but i think i figure it out. turn it on and unplug for 10 sec, plug it in then turn it on, press and hold start for 1 sec let go and it'll lock then unlock spin and sit there for like another min then it will lock the lid and start the cycle or atleast mine does hope that helps if you haven't replaced it or figured it out already.
@@Lightsngear I didn't know the start button was so janky. Evidently I'm not the only one who thinks so.
It is awful! It shouldn’t be this difficult to start the washer. I had my last Maytag for over 25 years. I wanted a newer washer so I purchased another Maytag…Mistake. Not the same product of yester year.
This is the absolute worst washer I’ve EVER owned. I hold the start button until all the lights come on then I walk away and it turns off without starting the load. It happens all the time on different settings. Don’t waste your money get a washer with an easy start button.
There’s something about having to turn the dial to get it to start, but even that doesn’t work sometimes. I don’t know what to do to get it to start without turning every knob eight times and even unplugging and replugging it in🤦♀️
Agree. My mother bought this washer and paid a lot for the see-through lid feature, but it is difficult for her to start and I'm always having to go help her with it. It's a big regret for both of us.
Yes!!! I’ve owned mine for four months. Mine has yet to finish one load w/o dying. I’ve tried it 4 times now and it has never completed a cycle. It is always out of balance in spin cycle and shuts down. They replaced the shock absorbers and nothing changed. It’s crap!!!
I repaired wahers and dryer for Sears. And I don't recall ever hearing complaints like this. I wonder if it's a regional thing? everyone loves these and especially the LG because it has a extra large capacity
You should have bought a speed queen
This is the most difficult machine I ever had, I am sorry I purchased it
Just got mine today and it won't turn on let alone do a wash. Maytag tech coming tomorrow. What the heck???? I had a Maytag for 19 years before it died, not the same on this one.
Helped a lot. Thnks
Just got mine an hour ago and it’s crap. Loud, shakes and clicks and clangs. Horrible!!!!!
No, the problem here is the resume after pause doesn't work. Pressing 3.0001 seconds does a reSTART that no one would ever want from pause.
I found everything to be on a delay so it seems its not going to work but it will. even the resume seems delayed the pause works right away though. you press and hold for one sec like to start the load then wait itll shoot water out without locking the lid then stop for a second then itll lock and resume the cycle atleast mine does.
Wow I have not liked mine since I got it new about a year ago. I bought a large commercial Maytag but when you put a large load in, it gets off centered and the machine starts clanking and banging. I can only put small loads in so that it doesn't do that. Most of the time when I run it through a cycle it does not drain all the water out of the machine; therefore the clothes are still wet.
How do you unlock the lid?
Why would all lights go out resuming from pause?
I have this washer and it is so bad. Bought it brand new. Stopped working after a week and had to have someone come out and fix it. Was fine for a couple weeks and stopped working. Same issue as before. Wont even start.
ty
I still can't figure out how to start the darn thing without my wife. I regret it.
I paid over $800 for this piece of shit.
Where do I put the detergent that’s not bleach? There’s no designated area in mine. This thing is so confusing
My exact question
lol. i'm sure you found it by now... under the lid. Its a slide out tray
@@tonytony6912 I will check! I’ve just been putting it at the bottom of the machine 😂
we unplugged ours to do painting in the room and now its plugged back in but I can't get it to start! Anyone know how to handle this? I HATE this machine...
turn it on then unplug it again for 10 seconds or so that will reset the washer.
This is a Whirlpool product and no matter which Whirlpool washer you buy they spend more time thinking about washing than washing. That is why I buy GE. I hear all these oh don't by a GE washer you will be sorry. Well guess what they treat us right and wash a load of clothes in a reasonable time and do a fine job, so I'll buy another when this one dies.
May I ask which model of GE it is, we purchased this Maytag a few weeks ago and I'm already looking for a replacement. It's the worst washer I've ever used.
Wish i had kept my old washer
This POS has done nothing but be inconsistent and continue to drive me crazy by not working properly. What a waste of money!!!!!
i thought the same thing it just seem to be delayed in the start for some reason. when you press the button to start it mine would make the noise to lock then unlock and seemed to do nothing. then i would shut it off and try again dont do that. turn it on unplug it for 10 seconds plug it in set it to the cycle you want press and hold the start button for one sec let it go itll do the same lock and unlock then spin once or twice then seem to sit there just let it sit itll lock like a minute later then do the cycle. after i figure that out havent had a problem since it does a great job at washing once you figure it out.
I can’t figure out how to do a rinse cycle alone. Just rinse!!
Who the hell has the skills to press a button exactly between 1 and 2.9999 seconds?
every single gamer in existence
Why does it take so long to start
I just bought a brand new one. It won't even get passed the "sense" cycle. I've followed instructions correctly. Peice of crap. I'm returning it. Don't waste your time. Get a different washer.
i had the same problem i found if you turn it on unplug it for 10 seconds, then when you plug it back in press and hold for one second. itll lock and unlock spin once or twice just wait a few like another min and it will lock and do the cycle dont know why it just doesnt start when you press it. spent an hour trying to do a clean cycle when i first got it the day before yesterday. now it works but you still have to give it a min after you press the botton for it to actually start.
Where do i put the detergent?
The bottom of drum
Can you buy extended warranty for Maytag crap? I hate this machine.
I did through Home Depot when I bought it
@@redhtrd you're going to need it. good job.
Why does he say "To restart the cycle"???
Like START OVER??
american engineering. yes like all other users who posted, I should have bought one that has a pull knob. stupid stupid design
Why doesn’t it fill up all the way ? It barely puts any water and it has a decent amount of clothes! Wtf
This washer is the biggest piece of crap!!
HORRIBLE.WASHER....loud, washes too long, can't pause a cycle and resume...JUST AN AWFUL MESS.
