In this video I go over some more combat balancing changes, and how it will affect the current worst conjurer build in the game.

i hope the lightning rebalance with the stacking effect gets implemented, currently lightning is just mediocre aside from use with bleed.

It's bad when you look only at stats, but from my experience, if you ACTUALLY use magic instead of relying on 100% weapons, it has a nice amount of benefits.
It's damage barely reduced, yet you get fast Q projectiles, faster beams and faster explosions.
Yeah, it sucks compares to ridiculous powers of more meta imbuements like crystal and acid, but it isn't THAT bad, just mediocre.
People always forget that conjurer is "magic AND weapons", not "magic weapons"
@@literallygrass1328 in the combat rework doc lightning had a stacking effect which basically hit 5 hits = 5 stacks of charged they get struck with a lightning bolt
As a person who stuck with Lightning from Arcane Adventures,to World Of Magic,all the way here to Arcane Odyssey,(became a lightning conjurer in AO)
This truly does put a smile on my face.
As a lightning conjurer myself, I can't wait for it to be buffed as I truly struggle with how terrible it is especially in pvp.
as a lightning warlock, the buffs are a absolute win!
note: sailors applies bleed for some reason on crash and smash if they have knockback
It’s not that terrible. It’s pretty good compared to most conjurer builds, just learn to spam beam a lot more
@@fishtonk5506 same, lightning warlock lvl 125 gives same dmg as a lvl 20 blast from a crystal mage
@pilles936 the beam's damage is too low to be useful, as with about 95~+ power I deal 180~ damage, which is much less than a slash strike (250~) with less aoe. With these builds I barely have hp lmao

as a person who has went earth conjurer bc I love natural magics and gotten dissed for going for a supposedly bad build that I like rather than a meta build, I'm happy vetex is making some well needed and balanced changes to earth conjurer!
Another earth conjurer here, glad to know I'm not the only one, one of the reason I choosed earth was because the sound, the sound is like you destroying completely something
Honestly I can't wait for 2nd awakening to happen because then I will get imbuement of every type, allowing me to wield a light sword, and magic fist from AA at the same time. Also im glad vetex is balancing things more I just hope that he can get everything to a nice balanced state
Another earth conjurer I honestly went earth becouse it was really consistent does nice extra damage to bleeding targets but it still needs some changes also the imbuement is bad in some variations
Haha earth conjurers rise! I love earth conjurer. Good range, even if it's slow. Chose it because it's always been my magic since AA.
im playing plasma conjurer and its kinda funny seeing people mock me for playing plasma and then they realize i have the same damage output as magma but faster
I think just because conjurers can use both magic and weapons they are already superior mages and warriors, but still when lvl cap is gonna raise we all know that savant is gonna be meta because its gonna have literally everything 💀💀

the fact ive been lightning conjurer for so long while not getting anything good compared to the other imbuement and now it's my time to shine, makes me appreciate the devs even more for their work

perhaps the mastery on a fighting style could add m1 size for beserker that u could change but the higher the sise the more the kb
When lvl cap increases THE BIRTH OF THE VERGIL BUILD SHALL COME AND AVENGE THE LIGHTING CONJURERS
Alright, so, some things have changed. The 1.1 you included in the calculation from being imbued has been changed to 1.075x, so instead of the final damage multi being 1.17, it'll be 1.14. HOWEVER, IF damage multipliers stack, a lightning conjurer could consistently get the damage buffs from both the bleeding(soon to be 1.2x, currently 1.1x) and soaked status effect (1.1x damage)by simply fighting in the ocean. **Doing this will change your 1.14x damage multiplier to 1.254, an absolutely insane number.**

After reading the AO Trello (made/managed by vetex, so I'm fairly certain it's reliable), I have come to realization. In water, lightning magic has a 25% larger AOE while in the water.
So... big aoe. Us lightning conjurers must become fishmen.

My WoM character was a lightning main who also used swords, I deleted that save after AO came out cause lightning was just not it for the builds, but now I think there's a need to return to form.
I hope light gets a buff, and I also hope that savants also get a buff
@Low Quality Ice I do think savant is somewhat alright, its just lacking skills due to points being put into 3 or more stats
@Low Quality Ice rn yes but I think something that could make them better would be a passive that negates the vitality stat's damage decrease
It is getting a buff but its not the buff you’d expect. Your light stacks now stack to five and at five stacks you do 10% more damage. Only problem is that i dont think its enough. It was originally 1-10 stacks and at 10 stacks it was 25% and the stack duration was 2 seconds but now its just 1 second and like 0.5 second stack decay so light will just be low mid instead of non viable. For mages at least, I’m still a firm believer of light conj meta.

btw, Fire/Plasma/Magma Conjurer will be similarly good. Synergy will apply and increase DoT damage. Assuming an unimbued weapon skill does 200 damage, Lightning imbuement will do 234 damage total, whilst Fire will do something along the likes of 290 with the DoT. Plasma will be slightly less, Magma will be a bit more in a single hit.

Bro i have an ice conjurer save and its awesome to just ez lord elius because its rain then the ice just freezes and u get some extra damage, also the slow it gives is super usefull to bosses , the freeze is ultimate weapon against shaeks

Lightning magic is actually a menace out at sea, as you'll be soaked a LOT of the time when fighting out there, especially if its raining.
I started today as lightning conjurer in another file and i find this video.

Actually i was planning to go conjurer with lightning and other element that i dont know what is good with lightning, but im glad that the element is getting buffed.

Tbh, nothing really synergies with lighting, so it's more of a preference. I don't expect things like acid and crystal conjurer to be op for a long time, so you better go with what YOU feel lacking (damage over time, heavy hitting attack, etc)

As a lightning conjurer main with over 250 hours, almost all achievements, and almost 800 player kills (mostly 1v1ing meta builds), I can finally have an actually good build.

sailor first bar revamp now makes the bar a minor inconvenience
soaked + lightning is 10%
lightning gets a 2.5% damage buff
all fists get a 10% damage buff
all fist moves are now much better

As someone whos been a lightning conjurer since AOs release, I can't describe how horrid it is. The only reason anyone should ever imbue in the current state of the game is if they have sunken sword, and sunken sword is still bad lmao

Like for most of them, it makes sense.
But for small things like blasts? It just feels so awkward.
the problem with this is startup and endlag, the pvp just wont work out well if you can cast while running rn. also basically any fighting game makes you stand still when casting

Also there's dodges and parries, your point makes no sense.

@@js_jack the wiki is wrong. all synergies were decreased to 10-15% normally, and 20% if they cleared a long dot. crystallized is the only exception

Sand conjurer is going to be meta. I was hoping they’d go through with the bleed dmg increase from 10-15% for even more dmg. My glass cannon build would be doing around 270-300+ on weapon skills

After 2 months of being oppressed, even persecuted for even daring to use lightning (yellow) as my first magic, refusing to bend to the synergy screaming and sobbing meta mancers demand I go (lightning water mage), going the now extinct build of lightning conjurer (it won't be extinct when the metamancers come 🤢 fuck meta mancers i was a real og)
I will gain my power in tenfold. LIGHTNING CONJURERS WILL RISE UP IN A FLASH OF FURY, SCORNED ARE THOSE ANGRY BASEMENT-DWELLERS CALLING US DAY ONES META, SHOW THEM THE WRATH OF THUNDER

you forgot that ice conjurer is probably gonna be better than earth conjurer, its gonna have 1.25 base damage and 1.35 damage with frozen and is faster so i wouldnt be suprised its becoming a meta build
also not to mention magma conjurer is also becoming quite good as it will have a 1.20 base damage up to 1.55 if you use both an unimbued sunken sword with it to petrify and poison dagger to poison (this is without counting melting too)
