Thanks for the informative review. I was intrigued by this watch when I saw it because of the Seiko Kinetic movement. I purchased one, and I have a couple of the same issues as you. Tight bezel and clasp. It is a good watch, as you said. And mine has been working fine. It's a very accurate movement.

i bough one on a whim, and out of all my watches, this has become my go-to daily beater. it gains about 8s a month which makes it extremely accurate (and trivial to correct), and it's seemingly impervious to shocks - i've hammered with my watch hand and it hasn't skipped a beat. the hands are slightly misaligned, but not too badly = the gmt hand is perhaps 5-7mins out of alignment. i love the fact it's a "true" gmt, makes it very pleasant for traveling. dial legibility is pretty decent, no issues there. my only complaint is that the styling is a bit too close to the GMT master ii, and the power reserve pusher is just too large for the watch - i mean how often do you really need to push this. in contrast, my TSOVET gmt with a similar kinetic movement has much nicer styling and profile, but loses or gains seconds really quickly when it gets shocked. so yeah i'm loving this watch, which greatly surprised me.
