Total respect to you DT. The first reactor who I found to be totally honest over the song. I also prefer the alternative version. Jack Harlow rap part did nothing for the song in my opinion. I was not a lover of rap until I listened to BTS. To me RM SUGA and JHOPE are head and shoulders above western rappers. I also loved hearing just JK singing. Jin is my bias and loved his solo song the astronaut but my favourite solo album is SUGA’s (never thought I would ever say that). Great reaction DTxx
RM, SUGA and JHOPE are fully influenced by Western rappers, and basically owe black Western rappers for their entire discography. I would be careful before fetishizing all things Korean, just because it's Korean.
RM SUGA and jhope would not even agree with your statement that they are head and shoulders above western rappers because they are rooted in hiphop or what you refer to as Western rappers. The alternate version is better, all around. More of JK's beautiful voice, more ad lib from him, Jack Harlow just ruined the song for me. We can get the gist of the song, without his lyrics. I also prefer the alternative version. Jack Harlow rap part did nothing for the song in my opinion. I was not a lover of rap until I listened to BTS. To me RM SUGA and JHOPE are head and shoulders above western rappers.

RM SUGA and jhope would not even agree with your statement that they are head and shoulders above western rappers because they are rooted in hiphop or what you refer to as Western rappers. They aren’t out here trying to create a new rap genre. They are literally a part of that genre, respect and honor it and successfully incorporate its influence into their music.
plenty of reactors AND commentors have been honest about the song. just because some people liked the rap doesn't make them anymore honest over the song than someone who didn't like it. saying that rapline are "above" western rappers is incredibly problematic when they were influenced by western rapper and embraced the genre. this idea that rapline are somehow "above" western rap is really weird considering "tongue technology", "i'll take you to hong kong", and expensive girl exist. you can like alternative version, no one is saying otherwise, and you can dislike the main version without trying to act as if rapline are superior to western rappers when jack's rap mimics the 2000 - rap style that was popularised by black western rappers. again, dislike the song if you want, but you can dislike it without being derogatory.

The alternate version is better, all around. More of JK's beautiful voice, more ad lib from him, Jack Harlow just ruined the song for me. We can get the gist of the song, without his lyrics.
