Cheers Praafit! Some videos tend to fluctuate with views. My highest video for instance has around 25 000 views whilst others have less than 60. I suppose its just what the viewer is interested in. Perhaps someday I may get a more consistent viewer count!
Hey I just binged all of your mod showcases because Im making a modpack for me and my friends today and all of your videos are really well done and I think the mods are all really well selected mods that go under the radar a lot. I just wanted to say keep it up! Im sure the mod creators are just as grateful as I am for all of these videos too

Most of these recent mod showcases have been from you guys in which I still have heaps more to cover so thanks to all of you! Other mod showcases however (particularly the early ones) I selected, usually due to what you said that they do tend to go under the radar instead of just covering the popular and well-known mods like many CZcamsrs do (I have plans to cover some of the more popular ones down the line). I'll make sure that they just keep on coming and some mod creators have seen them too. If you seem them around, make sure to thank them!

pro tip: when it comes to this mod, buckets are king. you can carry water in a bucket to not only use for drinking out of but also for things like cooling yourself down. you can carry lava during the winter and just dig a little hole into a hill and place this down to warm up way faster

@@FrancoGazzetta yeah its insane how good buckets are, also lava should be hot enough to give you burns from being near it it still cant warm you up without you at least sitting under a tree for shelter

This mod seesm great, i remenber how the Dayz uptade that made us manage the cold and need more food run away from rain, search shelter and etc... All this little things made the game much more imersive and fun.
Brings a new type of challenge into the game which is welcome! Plus, can't go wrong with bringing immersion into the game

Are their any clothing mods that will work with this one? basically I want to add the feature from survivalcraft that lets you wear layers of clothing to protect yourself from the weather then armor on top to protect yourself form damage to Minecraft.
It would be cool if thid mod had integration with the Vampirism mod so that vampires were unaffected by cold or thirst (for water)!
Oh yea, didn't even think of that. That sounds like a great concept to integrate them together! Maybe they take more damage when exposed to the heat too?

I combined this with Pixelmon and tried playing it in hardcore. Now I die from rain or snowing biomes trying to find certain Pixelmon...

Wow, this brings back childhood memories. The season1 episode with charmander lost in the freezing snow... but now even more visceral as you are right in the action.

That's the mod config menu. You can access this by navigating to the mods tab on the main menu and selecting the config option for the mod or if you don't see it, you can navigate to the config folder on your desktop and open it from there.

Do you know how to get tough as nails working with 1.12.2? The downloads page says its for 1.18+ but I want it in 1.12.2?
Minecraft is at it's best when it's an environmental puzzle. Making resources just for decoration or stat stomping strong and stronger mobs is really boring, but when you have to wonder how to insulate your house THEN it's fun
Definitely adds a new kind of challenge and intrigue into the game for sure! Would be great to see more environmental threats from Minecraft to spice up the difficulty
Are there any texture packs that can be used with this mod and the Quark mod?
I honestly have no idea. I think that Sphax BD might work with Quark but I can't think of any that would work with Tough as Nails
One of the best mods out there, please someone upgrade it to 1.16 without changing the items cause 1.12 is pretty outdated
Such an excellent concept for the mod, unfortunate though that it is discontinued, but whether the mod dev will let people port it to future versions is up to them
Check Survive for 1.15/1.16
A bit more limited in dealing with temperature conditions, but also has stamina and sleep needs besides thirst and heat
well it sucks now, they upgraded it without coils, or shards or anything basically

Randy Leighton I am aware that Tough as Nails has been discontinued. Compared to other discontinued mods, it's not severely outdated as many modpacks are still in 1.12.2. There's still quite a few players that still play in 1.12.2 for modding alongside 1.7.10 and 1.14 modders and please avoid caps.
This is the mod I was looking for, and when I found out the name, I jumped for joy. That is until I realized that it’s not an addon. I play Minecraft on my phone.

Thanks mate! To answer your quesiton, I'm not actually sure. If they did, I wouldn't believe they heat you up much, as the flame is small compared to something like lava (which takes a bit to heat you up)
Is there an option to disable thirst in the settings menu for those who don't want to have to deal with that?

Bruh why is the old version of the mod have so much more I have the 1.19.3 one installed and there’s way less items
the only thing is the temps are extremely unrealistic. You can use a seasons mod compatible, be in summer, in a hot desert and it be "even" or when your in a neutral area, it be extremely cold like its a fucking blizzard.
There is definitely bits of it which do seem a bit unrealistic. It needs to factor in the climate of the biome better I reckon, so it's the perfect temp in neutral biomes, a bit warmer in savannahs, deserts and mesas and colder in taigas, extreme hills and ice plains.
Not sure if it would be possible, but it could be cool if the mod tried to factor in the weather and time of day better like in real life. For instance, a desert would be hot during the day, but at night, the temperature drops quite a bit and maybe during a sandstorm it could be the perfect warm zone of not being too hot or cold.

This plus first aid mod kinda makes Minecraft more realistic.

I think as of currently, body temperature is not avaialble for 1.16.5. It's going to be brought into a future update from what I heard

From what I can remember, there was a mod where the entire world is in an ice age, which I believe is compatible. That would be hard to survive in! Not sure if a weather mod like storms and tornadoes works

I got on capttatsu's site before it went to 1.14. Just had a look at the CurseForge for the previous versions but it seems that it's removed.
you could try looking for the download with the way back machine
Can you purify water in a cauldron?
Don't believe so. It seems to be either boiling them in furnaces, combining a water bottle with a charcoal filter or through using the rain collector.

If you're using the 1.16 version of the mod, it isn't in it. By the looks of the modpage, the body temperature won't be re-implemented until 1.17.

Yes, but since it's a soft relaunch of the mod (it was discontinued), I'm not sure how many features are currently in 1.16.5. It's also in alpha stage as well, so expect some bugs to come crawling out

It is but its not been discontinued for years. There's no doubt heaps of players that still play in 1.12.2. for modding alongside 1.7.10 and 1.14 modders.
