I was asking myself that the whole time I was listening to Living With Ghosts. All of the discarded songs were so beautiful, I don't know how they could have possibly thought they weren't good enough to complete and release at the time.
From First to Last also got a aong named "Emily" I think that's the reason why they didn't release it or just simply because the album is already 50 minutes long and cd's space has only 512mb.
@@devpashupati9168 it didn't fit the Black Parade, this was a hard mix so i think this was probably one of the earlier recordings of the album and cut it afterwards after hearing that it didn't fit the theme of the album

The song is based on "A Rose For Emily" by Faulkner. I knew that thanks to a comment and I read it yesterday. I LOVE it. It's a very short story, I found it in a library, and I highly recommend it. I am going to write about it, so there's going to be spoilers. It is worth it, if you have the chance to get the book, read it first.
The most beautiful thing of the book is that Emily believed on a connection with dead people. Of course, she was afraid of loosing her loved ones, but killing Hummer meant being next to him, it was not a lost. It was thought that Hummer was gay and she knew he wouldn't stay with her forever. She also wanted to keep her father's corpse, and she never got over her father's death. All of this has a lot in common with the story of the Black Parade.
There is a lot more about the characters, the meaning of the rose, the way it is told and its structure. It's all on the Internet.

Why do I think this song is about somebody miscarrying a baby...?
For example:
"It was the worst thing" - miscarriage is bad.
"I won't tell a soul/it was the worst part/we did to this little girl" - Normally with miscarriages, it's a taboo subject to talk about. Gee doesn't want to talk about it. AKA: he won't tell a soul.
"This little girl" - obviously, as a baby, you're small as heck. The girl is small, and the use of the word 'little' implies weakness and fragility - just like a sick baby. Emily is completely helpless.
"It was the last time I saw her alive" - Maybe some sort of ultrasound thing?
"You're so far from home/come home" - This 'Emily' never got to go home. She died before she could even know what her 'home' was.
"If I could figure it out, we won't be afraid" - basically the cause of the miscarriage is unknown to Gee. They don't know what caused 'Emily' to die, yet if Gerard could figure it out, then they wouldn't be afraid because they would know what was coming.
Also the lines "It was a headshot/You know you gave me the gun/ please hide me now" - Could imply that Gee feels like that take his fault that the baby is dead.
When he talks about a "headshot", he basically means that he was the direct cause of it. Headshots are very specific
"You know you gave me the gun" - Possibly, this is far fetched, but the person that he's talking to, the "you", could possibly mean that he has some form of psychosis. A voice inside of his head is telling him that he was the one who killed the baby, and he's talking to the voice, telling it that 'you gave me the gun'. It's your, the voices, fault.
