The Pont d´en Botifarreta beach is one of the most lively and busy in Badalona.
The Pont d´en Botifarreta beach is one of the most lively and busy in Badalona. In it we find the active Club Nàutic Bétulo, which organises all types of sports activities.
It is 620 metres long with an average width of around thirty five metres. It has medium grain sand and the entry slope into the sea is fairly steep, with a sandy seabed.
It has showers, toilets, rescue and surveillance service, a car park, a children´s play area, and a beach bar. In it we find the main first aid centre of the beaches in Badalona. In addition, it offers several facilities for the disabled, in a centre that has adapted showers and toilets, an access ramp, amphibious chairs, assistance service and a lifeline in the sea.
It is delimited by the Els Pescadors beach, to the left, and by the Cristall beach, to the right. It can be accessed via a tunel that crosses the railway line. The Badalona station is six hundred metres to the right.
On the right hand side of the beach, nearly on the Els Pescadors beach, we find the Club Nàutic Bétulo, where a great number of activities related sailing, rowing, speedboats and scuba diving are organised. In addition, this club has a bar and a restaurant.
During this town´s Fiesta Mayor, celebrated in August, several events take place on this beach, such as concerts or firework shows. All year round many sports activities such as beach football and rugby, aerobic or Tai Chi are also organised.
