- "Never Ending Story" is the title song from the English version of the 1984 film The NeverEnding Story. It was produced and composed by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder and performed by Limahl. Limahl released two versions of the song, one in English and one in French. The English version featured vocals by Beth Anderson, and the French version titled "L'Histoire Sans Fin" featured vocals by Ann Calvert.
Christopher Hamill (born 19 December 1958), better known by his stage name Limahl (an anagram of Hamill), is an English pop singer. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the 1980s pop group Kajagoogoo, before embarking on a briefly successful solo career, which reached its peak with the 1984 hit "The NeverEnding Story", the theme song for the film of the same name.

His voice is so freaking immaculate! I could be wrong but was he very underrated back in the day? I don't know the lady singing but they are both in Perfect Harmony!
Oddly, the singer in this video, Mandy Newton, is not the voice you hear. Beth Anderson recorded the song. There are a couple of YT videos showing the real singer. I agree, his voice was underrated. I think it was overshadowed by his "hearthrob" status when he was in Kajagoogoo.
TOTP is never live and even then studios had techniques to fix false notes in vocals. But he's certainly a good singer, great range.
I oddly always thought it was a woman singing this song! It wasn't until I saw the video when I was shocked!
