The only time a QB not named Mahomes is placed above Burrow in rankings is when they bring up injury history. You arent taking 95% of QBs over a healthy Joe Burrow and thats a fact
burrow is definitely top 3 when healthy but the fact that we have to even say "when healthy" shows the dude has an injury problem. Burrow's been in the league 4 years and missed about half his career already due to injury we can't pretend that doesn't factor into a teams success

Great segment! Goff has been elite over the last two years. He will out produce most these qb’s again this year. Injury plays a role into it. I don't think most people even in Detroit would tell you Goff is just BETTER than Burrow, But Goff does have a solid history of showing up and Burrow does have those injuries. But I do think Burrow has more raw talent.

I still remember "Gruden's QB Camp" although i didnt see it at the time..Gruden said "i like you, Goff" He's a very intuitive, smart guy..we just all question the athelicism other goid qb's demonstrate.
Great take , the way Colin breaks down his picks are all facts. Goff really helped turn Detroit into a relevant franchise
Burrows injury concerns are overblown. His knee injury his rookie year would have happened to any player in that situation.
His other injuries include: a calf strain (happens all the time and isn’t serious at the end of the day) and his wrist which was sort of unprecedented.
Is it bad luck? Sure. But I’d argue that there’s nothing about Burrow himself that makes him more susceptible to injury than any other player.
Except that he was also injured in college which is how he ended up at LSU in the first place. Injuries are cumulative. You don't get healthier as your NFL career progresses. If he had no injuries in college then you could say that maybe the injury narrative was overblown, but he now has a history over several years missing a lot of time with various injuries.
I agree based on what i heard the wrist injury was bc of clowney landing on his wrist. The calf was him pushing himself too hard in practice after he had felt tightness earlier that morning. Now if he gets injured this season i cant defend him anymore

If your qb takes 30 percent more sacks than almost any other qb, it shouldn’t be very surprising that that qb will be more susceptible to injury. Hopefully this years O-line is better.

Burrow gets hurt more, but he’s done more than Lamar when it counts. I’d say Burrow is one of the hardest ones too, but I’m taking Goff over almost any QB in the league right now at their current playing state/history(CJ Stroud and the rookies are unknown. Also, I’d take Goff over Stafford. He did more in Detroit and he made a superbowl in LA. Lost to the GOAT. Any QB would’ve won with the team Stafford won on.

I feel that Colin is making a lot of good points but I am picking Jordan Love over Jared Goff becuase I feel that Jordan Love in the long run is a better bet and definatley less reliant on having great protection. Jordan Love has proven that he can escape the pocket well and make plays whereas Jared Goff has shown multiple times that he can't. If Jared Goff is pressured he falls apart simple as that but Jordan Love under pressure is almost better.

Its almost as if players can improve & people can change their opinions on players for a variety of reasons.
Goff went from the 20th best QB in the NFL his last two seasons with the rams to 10th best these past two seasons with the lions. 5/8 Goff seasons he's been top 10. Now he's a vet with a loaded offense
